Hakka Guelph — Restaurant in Guelph

My family and I came to this restaurant to try something new and different as I have never had Hakka food before. As per other reviews, we tried and loved the chicken momo with the dipping sauce as well as the Thai mango salad but without the cashews. We ordered the Hakka house noodles and the sweet and sour fish with pineapple for more sweetness. The fish was so tasty and tender. My son and cousin thought it was chicken perhaps because of the sweet and sour but this fish was delicious. The owner also brought us a small side of rice to go with our order. Everything was delicious. While we were there we had the most pleasant conversation with the owner. He was very attentive and ensured we were happy. Also I want to say I had the best mango lassi. I find other restaurants have an overpowering taste of aged yogurt with an after taste but this lassi, oh man, you can really taste the mango and it wasn’t sweet. It was the perfect dessert after enjoying a lovely meal in a nice clean environment. We also got to try the gulab jamun courtesy of the owner and it melted in your mouth. My son loved it. We recently had the pleasure of dining in at Hakka Guelph , it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The service was warm and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere right as we walked in. We ordered fried rice, Hakka chicken, noodles, and lollipop chicken, and every dish was a hit. The fried rice was perfectly seasoned with just the right balance of flavors and a wonderful smoky touch. The Hakka chicken was the star, crispy on the outside, tender inside, and coated in a flavorful sauce that had the perfect kick. The noodles were cooked to perfection, with a nice balance of vegetables and seasoning, making them both hearty and satisfying. The lollipop chicken was a fun and delicious treat juicy, well-marinated, and fried to golden perfection.

Portion sizes were generous, and each dish tasted freshly prepared with quality ingredients. The flavors were authentic, vibrant, and made us want to keep going back for just one more bite.
