Our first experience here, as a family was amazing. The kids absolutely loved it. We were greeted at the front with a smile and given expectations about what was off bounds, and what was full interactive play for them. One of the best parts was the front staff telling us to head upstairs and burn some energy off in the massive events room, and watch the airplanes land and take off. We loved our experience so much that we told our friends and invited them the second time around. The second experience started off great, but ended with voices being raised, and being told to leave. The first of their complaints was the kids having too much fun upstairs, and it echoing to the bottom part. I guess the kids are not allowed to get excited and yell “Airplane!!” at the sight of one taking off. We tried to keep the noise to a minimum, but again this was not the same experience as the first. What will happen when you hold an event in that space or get your cafe up and running? Will you tell your patrons to be quiet too? My friend with a child who is non-verbal was simply walking down the stairs with his truck and the front staff had the audacity to place her hands on him. She stated “Do you know how expensive these stairs are?” As if he was harming it. I do not recommend this place to families with young children especially those with special needs. It is an absolute buzzkill with the front staff micromanaging your every move. Our kids were having fun and were actually well behaved- respecting all the museum had to offer but were treated like menaces. “Mary, with a capital M” you and your co-pilot need a course in public relations and you need to respect people’s personal space. Drop the superior mentality. Guess who suffers today…the kids. Where is the consistency in customer service? Where was the warm exit & thank you with a sticker souvenir like our first experience. My 4 yr old remembered that & would like to...
Read moreAlthough I have not yet been able to experience your location as of yet. I just wanted to share my experience of attempting to. Just note that your hours of operation on your website do not state anything about stat holidays and what your hours are (Tues-Saturday) So considering today was a friday, September 30th, and nothing indicated on Google or on your website that you were closed today (But you did note on your website that you were Saturday October 1st for a private event). After the 40-minute drive we get there for "opening time" and there are 3 other vehicles of families that are just waiting and walking around outside, peering inside, seeing if anyone was going to let them in. My family was not the only one under the impression that you would have been open today. I just encourage you to make this change on your website so that it makes it easier for families, and those who are a bit out of the way, to come and experience your new exhibit..without...
Read moreAstonishing and beautiful new museum and venue to visit! First of all, the architecture, exterior, and interior design is exceptional, amazing, and interesting. The entire architecture and design incorporates anything and everything aviation related. Second, many of the exhibits are interactive (great for kids, with supervision, of course), others aren't interactive but display very high quality aircraft restoration craftsmanship and fascinating historical aircraft. There are guides that are more than willing to share their knowledge and pasdion surrounding the exhibits. There is a modest gift shop with high-quality aviation souvenirs (I hope this gets expsnded, as the products are VERY cool). The Centre appears to have the capability to be used as a private party/ wedding/ event venue, and I imagine catering, etc could be arranged. Admission is by donation and very reasonable. I know if I ever get married; this would be a dream venue for an aviation...
