Two Donkeys Bakery — Restaurant in Kelowna

Very disappointing at the location near the airport. Why, because they have little to no product on their shelves within a couple of hours after opening every day. Why, because they have recently opened a location on the west side and all the product is sent or moved to that location daily. Whilst I understand and appreciate that they are trying to figure out what sells on the West side, it is at the expense of its loyal customer base at this location, particularly Quail Ridge. We obviously don't matter anymore despite supporting them since they opened, we served a purpose for a time and now we don't matter! They just simply shrug their shoulders as if to say " tuff luck"! Don't bother driving to this location you are better off calling to see what they do have on the shelves before you go! I love their bread and pastries BUT I am not sure I will go back only to be disappointed again, and...

My first visit to West Kelowna: average if not mediocre.

I only had the multigrain croissant (doesn’t deserve that name) and a slice of the far-from-authentic Black Forest roll (bland, not fresh).

To be asked for a tip after standing around for five minutes at a counter doesn’t impress me either. I declined. However, given all the good reviews I will try again.

Update I read the owner’s comments who wants to meet me. Speculating about my German roots seemed a bit much! It would help if you identify yourself . . . I am planning to try the WK outlet again soon.

Update 2 I did go back. I avoided the odd Black Forest roll (not cake), choosing the napoleon. The filling was quite good but the crust was so soggy I declined to eat it. At least two days old. Cappuccino was good. Wonderful service. This place seems quite the success. The owner never did identify himself....

I have ordered from here twice. The food both times was mostly just ok. I did LOVE the sausage roll the first time i got it but it was not very good when i got it again. The sandwiches do not match the description as stated on the web site we ordered from (both uber and doordash only say mayo. They added some kind of sweet honey mustard sauce which sadly ruined them for me as i do not like sweet things with meat. Had it been in the description i could have asked to not have that sauce.

That being said the sandwiches were lack luster, when i had the pasta last time it had barley any sauce.

The baguette we got was lovely and fresh.

Update, the sausage roll my coworker ordered was not fully cooked, very doughy to the point it could not be finished mine was also doughy when i got to the center. The sandwich was enjoyed by the other coworker who did not mind the...
