Wonderful bubble tea spot! Now Tea has a cozy atmosphere with plenty of seating all around to hang out. They either play Mandopop jams or they have upbeat EDM, which are all quite nice. If you’re looking to study, definitely have some noise canceling headphones/earbuds though. The inside is actually very warm/humid, more that any regular restaurant or shop—which is very unexpected (especially in the winter). I haven’t been here in the summer, so I wouldn’t be able to tell you how the temperature changes it, but they are blasting that heat in the winter for sure. The staff are all polite and pretty chill. They are studying or playing on their phones during downtimes, but immediately get up for service if there are customers. The drinks are pretty good overall. One of the rare few places that carry hojicha, which I’m happy about! Oolongs are always a good choice and they are pretty good quality. I recommend going for 50% sugar ideally for all drinks, as 25% actually feels like too little. Sometimes the low sugar levels can impact the taste of the tea, as was the case for when I got the hojicha tea latte. The hojicha at 25% sugar tasted kinda watery, while 50% was much better. It’s possible it may have just been the day I got the 25% they added less hojicha, but I’m not going to risk it haha The bubble tea here hasn’t gotten price hiked as much as your Cocos or Chatimes, floating around $5 for regular sized drinks, $6 for large. Definitely recommend dropping by for a great hangout spot with fairly priced drinks!

Now Tea Café is a lovely little gem that combines a calm atmosphere with great quality drinks. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a gentle aroma of freshly brewed tea and a minimalist, cozy interior that invites you to slow down and unwind. Their tea selection is impressive — from classic black and green teas to creative blends with fruit, herbs, and spices. Each cup feels thoughtfully prepared, never rushed. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, happy to explain the differences between teas or suggest something new to try. The matcha latte is smooth and perfectly balanced, and their pastries complement the drinks beautifully. Whether you’re meeting a friend, catching up on work, or simply taking a quiet moment for yourself, Now Tea Café offers the ideal atmosphere. It’s the kind of place that quickly becomes a favourite spot — not just for tea, but for the feeling of comfort it brings.

I used to go to the Waterloo location all the time while I was at school there (back when it was a Kung Fu Tea and they did a rebrand into Now Tea). Tea Trio was my favourite drink to get and I’m happy to report that this second location lived up to my high expectations. The boba is soft and sweet all the way through unlike many boba places where it’s sweet on the outside and tastes like literally nothing once you bite in. Unfortunately they don’t let you substitute a different tea into the Tea Trio. They used to let me do it in the Waterloo location. Tip: Get no or very light sugar on the Tea Trio. The toppings are sweet and sweeten the rest of the drink.

Went with my friends and when I was looking at the menu searching for what to order my friend wanted to borrow the washroom and went ahead then the cashier gave me the dirtiest look and said the washroom is for customers only like she already went in not sure what you want me to do about it… there was no sign whatsoever about that policy and I don’t think you are gonna lose something for letting a girl borrow your washroom like chill out. The attitude was crazy like I get that it was close to closing and she was giving the attitude like she doesn’t even wanna be here anymore but at that point shouldn’t you just let my friend go to the washroom and whatever then that’s it. Literally made me not even wanna get a drink after that and def not coming back. Could’ve handled it way better and be like sorry just for heads up next time that washroom is only for customers but she full on said washroom is for customers only she is gonna need to get something and was waiting and staring for my friend when she walk out to make sure she get something like...

Now Tea is one of the better bbt shops. Resonable prices. Compairing to larger, more popular franchises, its clear to tell that a lot more thought is given into the drinks. The employees are gentle and clean, all great personalities and vibes all around. The barista that served me was kind and got the order quick, and even though it was fairly late, she never acted irresponsibly or rude towards me.

The drink itself was great. I ordered the Taro Green Milk Tea, where unlike most places, the taro was a fresh paste rather than the vibrant purple powder that we usually get. The taste is much more smooth and earthy and would 100% recommend. The drink was a few cents over $6.00 and is definitely worth it considering most other shops sell the same drink, lower quality, for much higher prices.

If you are looking for fast and kind service and a grea drink for a few bucks, check out Now Tea -...
