I am so unhappy with the service I recieved by the front desk staff when I ran into a delay in receiving my paycheck from my work. Although on their website it states that zero is due at the time of check -in, the fine print is that apparently you do HAVE to have your payment card validated for the whole amount for the room. Now on the date I was planning on arriving I was told by my work that there was a delay and rather than receiving my direct deposit today, that I would instead receive it when the banks rolled over in the overnight. I immediately notified the hotel and asked them what I could do about this. I gave several options, including placing a deposit in the amount of several hundred( in good faith, for them to avoid putting through a payment that would bounce and incur an NSF fee on my account(to the tune of about 75$ in addition to the 1 night stay penalty I would still be required to pay, that I would miss one day from my vacation(one I desperately deserve--- I won't go into that, but when it rains it pours) and it's my birthday tomorrow. I currently live at my parents house and they strictly forbid any guests, and my friend was intending on traveling quite a distance in order to see me. So I am losing one day from my stay which I am being charged for( mind you they are charging me a much higher rate than what is now available for the same stay online from their own website!!) happy birthday to me.
But here's the kicker. I am keeping my cool and being totally polite and understanding with the woman speaking with me and telling me all this bad news. And I am giving her fair warning that the hotel may also incur a fee if they charge me the penalty prior to my bank receiving my paycheck in the overnight. I offered to come in and book in as soon as the money comes through, and also paying the penalty as they asked, to avoid such a thing taking place for either party involved. I also went to thank her for speaking to her manager regarding the situation and for getting back to me(I never gave her any trouble or lip for it having taken her 5 hours to do so, as I am sure she was very busy.) and as I was saying thank you, she abruptly hung up on he phone on me, no goodbye no have a nice day, just more of the attitude where she behaved as though she were superior to me because maybe she owns more credit cards than me? Or because she works for a hotel? I can probably guarantee my education level is higher than hers, and I also work for hotels, however I don't make it a habit to treat my clients with disgust because they are receiving their paycheck a couple hours later than they anticipated and they would require to place a cash deposit while they wait those several hours for the pay to clear in the bank. If I had the opportunity without losing all my money now, I would definately go with a different hotel and will certainly be doing so in the future. I will also be recommending my friends and family as well as all my social media followers boycott this hotel. This incident should have been handled in a way that preserves the...
Read moreUpon our arrival they gave us the wrong room. Also we had early check in and late check out. We called several weeks in advanced and confirmed the week of. That made no difference. It was never recorded. Then upon getting there we noticed there was no one to greet you at the entrance, you had to walk to Sherton side to check in and out yet there was a front desk at Bw. We stood there waiting the first 5 minutes to see if someone return but nope no one ever is at BW front desk. We noticed with our 4 day stay no one ever was there. After getting our room I noticed that there was red hair in the bed when my child went to lay down. Low and behold there was a hair found in the shower as well. Also the shower was not cleaned well. They also left the previous toilet paper roll half used on the counter top. Then on top of that putting my bags away and organizing my babies things I noticed beer bottle lids by the bed side. I drink wine and we just arrived so I know that was also not us. So I was left to believe the room wasn't cleaned properly. I called front desk to make a complaint they asked me if I want them to come clean the room later in the day I said no thank you as my kids were tired and we didn't plan to leave the room for long period on day 1 . So I requested that they give me cloths and cleaning spray and that I will clean it myself. They were surely okay with that. The pools were great but the BW pool indoor floors were not cleaned daily if so it did not seem like it. It was a huge difference when we swam on the Sherton side which we went there for the most part. Most of the staff there were very rude. Front desk, dining and regular staff on duty. When my husband couldn't find the Sherton pool where we were the lady was being difficult and short not wanting to tell him where it was but redirected him to go to indoor BW . My husband kept explaining he was looking for us and stated our room number. He got frustrated and looked on his own. Then we all went to go speak to her after no apology but she stated oh I misunderstood your question. On top of all that our room keys kept deactivating which was odd they would work sometimes so we changed them then it kept happening. But this was by our 3rd day and we just left it alone on top of everything else we made sure someone was in our room at all times. Sherton side they hardly ever had towels for guests we had to request it about three times each swim. Then when thanking the staff most of them just looked at you. I met two very nice staff members there thank goodness. They were the cleaners on our floor. Food was okay, customer services wasn't great. My kids loved the pools. All in all I'm not sure if I...
Read moreFirst I will say the service at the front desk is amazing and the overall friendliness of the hotel staff was phenomenal. However, I was very disappointed in the rooms and the altercation which took place in the pool area. The room, which I upgraded for the balcony was very disappointing. The balcony is not a balcony at all and should be described as more of a sliding door with a railing which is probably less than a foot wide. It was so small that you can't even fit a chair facing outward and that was if you had a chair out there in the first place which did not come with our room. The bathroom door is brutal, it doesn't shut fully, the lock was broken and couldn't be used as the gap between the door and wall was way too wide. Nice concept but not practical.
Now for the altercation that happened in the spa area. This hotel connects to another hotel that apparently has "members" who have access to the amenities on a daily basis. These members are so incredibly rude and treated our children, who were swimming and extremely behaved, so terrible that the kids decided to leave the area and swim outside in the rain, at which we were followed and tortured again by one specific member who continued to talk down to not only our kids but the rest of the parents as well at how we don't belong here and kids don't deserve to be in the same area and use the pool they do? We paid to be there, we were not doing a thing wrong and were treated that way? We then left the pool area completely and decided to have lunch in the bar area where the kids played pool and again were followed by that same person who then went to the front desk and complain about absolutely nothing and call us names. I had enough and confronted them at which they were asked to leave by your own staff who then thanked me because they had advised this member in particular does this daily. How is this ok and how do they still have a membership? Because of this particular incident I am hesitant to return. It was embarrassing and so disrespectful. With that being said, the staff members who were there at the time were amazing. The one woman who was working the front desk was also serving us all afternoon because it was short staffed and she worked so hard. We were very impressed and she had also mentioned to us how amazing our kinds were and respectable they were.
This needs to be addressed with the members you have that use the amenities. Review your camera footage at the front desk spa...
