World Shops — Attraction in Markham

It’s a clean mall, but there isn’t much to do here other than groceries and food court (which is pretty good with a decent selection as long as you like Korean food). They have some travel agencies, jewelery, and cosmetics shops (but you won’t find anything “fun” here)

The parking situation here isn’t great. Most people just park their cars on ground level and taking up the road. Underground parking is a bit better but still quite busy and the demographic here aren’t known for their driving prowess.

When I went to park today, a lady came and stood in my spot and proceeded to load her 6 bags of groceries one by one into the passenger seat of her van (isn’t that what the trunk is for?) while looking at me. Meanwhile, I’m halfway in and blocking a line of cars behind me from moving. When I returned later to leave, a VW Golf parked diagonally and inches away from my car leaving enough space on his driver side to fit a wheelchair. 2023 April 4★ Nothing much has changed here. There continues to be quite a lot of stores serving the Middle Eastern and Asian communities in the area. Supermarket is the anchor store in the basement with many other stores on the main and second floor. The food court itself is busy with a good selection of authentic fast food. 2021 May 4★ a shopping mall with an outdoor shopping plaza. A good selection of shops and had they been all opened, would be a good shopping experience. Supermarket underground. Food court on the 2nd floor. Ample free parking underground for 3 hours. The supermarket is great and is my fave part of this indoor mall. However the rest of the mall is abysmally bad. It's yet another "failed" mall from a customer's point of view unless you count that a mall full of random lawyer's offices, wholesale stores, realtor offices, and the occasional beauty salon to be something you really love.

It's a mall with no sense of purpose or direction, but I do love how spacious the main atrium is, the semi-decent food court, and the fact that yes, that supermarket (Seasons) is one of the best Asian supermarkets around. Parking is usually not a...
