I had been going to this brand new park since its opening. I always had wonderful experience going there with my kids. My kids used to name this park as “Boat park”however now it’s official name is fair wind park.Kids love swings, rides , slides , boat shaped place and telescope and many more. Best part is the padded soft area for playing. I made so many new friends here. We had get together with families and friends. In winter there used to be a place where ice rink was there and kids did ice skate there too. Summer is the perfect time to enjoy all the perks of fair wind park. Basketball and tennis court is the beautiful attraction for community . Sand bath and seating area are other good aspects of this park. Fire station near park attracts everyone,s attention. I love sitting near big rocks and enjoy seeing water in ponds and beautiful habitat there. Parking area is good enough and portable Washroom facility is available. I wish for the nice splash pad that would be great fun for kids...

Large field in front of playground for multi-use sports (soccer, cricket) and will be used for a Skating rink in the winter. Parking lot makes it easy for parents to off-load their children close to the playground.
Park has lots of benches, garbage cans, bike racks. There's lots of natural features with a pond, shelters for bats.
Park is accessible from many directions. A bridge to the north goes over the creek. A path leads to a school across the street. You can get into the park from the corner of Eglington and Fairwinds. There's an access path to the east of the fire station 120 that goes behind the fire station and leads directly to the basketball and...

There is am shade under the gazebo but not on any of the benches. Unfortunately there is some graffiti in spots on the mostly wood structures. There are two slides that come out of a Peggy's Cove style light house. A shipwreck of the HMCS Pinnacle is an imaginative play area that can keep your little ones busy. There is a humpback whale breaching through the blue rubber matting for the little ones to climb on. There is a sand pit area with umbrellas which unfortunately gets taken over by dogs in the morning. This is a busy park so come early...
