I really hate to write a negative review but I’ve had two very disappointing experiences.
My first time - I wanted to try their new Vietnamese iced coffee. I asked if there was anyway I could get it without ice or just a little ice. I was told no, they can’t adjust the ice. I decided to try it anyway. They filled up the entire cup with ice and my cup was only 3/4 full. It was busy in there and I didn’t want to complain or cause a scene so I took my drink and left. The drink was good but there was way too much ice. It quickly dilutes the drink to the point where you can’t taste the coffee. Also, I was pretty disappointed in not even getting a full drink. I essentially paid for ice.
I went back a few days later and wanted to give it another try, see if I could talk to them and get them to adjust the amount of ice and put a little bit more coffee. Again, I was told that it wasn’t possible. The lady then proceeded to tell me that “that’s how Vietnamese coffee is supposed to be, you slowly sip it to let the ice melt” - I told her I’m Vietnamese so I know, but you can’t “slowly” sip it because the ice melts. Plus, they pour so little coffee in that it’s done after a few sips. She then agreed to lessen the amount of ice but said the drink won’t be full because of that (she couldn’t give me more coffee). I pointed out that last time my drink was only 3/4 with full ice… and she confirmed that’s how it’s supposed to be. She said if she gives me anymore coffee then my heart will get jumpy. There’s so little coffee that it’s virtually impossible for anyone to get jumpy off of. I felt like she was gatekeeping how Vietnamese coffee is enjoyed which I find very weird. Everyone has different preferences.
Their marketing photo shows this drink filled to the top so it’s completely misleading.
Do yourself a favour and go hit up a Vietnamese restaurant if you want to try Vietnamese iced coffee. You can control the amount of ice and they’ll even serve it with no ice if that’s your preference (and fill it to the top).
There’s a Chatime and CoCo nearby that I’ll continue going to instead. They’ve never bothered me about the amount of ice I want in my drinks nor policed how customers enjoy...
Read moreOishii Tea has quickly become my absolute favorite spot for bobas and cold coffee! From the moment you walk in, the ambience is warm, modern, and welcoming—a perfect place to relax, catch up with friends, or just enjoy a refreshing drink.
Their menu is packed with so many unique and delicious flavors that it’s almost impossible to choose just one. I’ve tried the Mango Passion Fruit Green Tea, Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea, and Peach Lychee Slush, and each one was fantastic in its own way.
The Mango Passion Fruit Green Tea was light, refreshing, and bursting with tropical flavors.
The Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea was perfectly creamy with chewy pearls and just the right amount of sweetness.
The Peach Lychee Slush was fruity, icy, and incredibly refreshing—perfect for a hot day.
What I love most is that once you taste Oishii Tea, you’ll always crave it again. The flavors are consistent, the quality is top-notch, and every sip feels worth it.
If you’re a fan of bubble tea or just love trying new drinks, this place is a must-visit in town. Highly recommended—I truly...
Read moreMy visit yesterday was a huge letdown. I ordered several drinks and was given a tray to carry them out. Right away, one of the drinks fell out — the tray clearly doesn’t hold their rounded cups securely. Instead of offering any help or taking accountability, they just charged me again for a replacement. It was frustrating but whatever, I paid for another one. When I got home, three of the drinks toppled over and created a total mess, nothing was salvageable.
I called the store to explain what happened and share my concerns, and the employee on the phone had zero empathy. No apology, no attempt to make it right. Honestly, any other company would’ve done better in this situation — even a small gesture or a bit of understanding would’ve...
