It's easy to fall for tiktok and influencer hype. This is another classic example. It's a challenge trying to get a restaurant going smoothly.
I have to rant a bit about how things were managed when I visited last week. Got seated quick but had to wait for 15min before I had to approach them at the cashier to get served with a mildly annoyed attitude. After having put in the order, found a table nearby waiting to order for 30min and nobody to help them out. Upon closely watching the staff, only two people were taking orders and serving while the other one was only on cleaning duty and the other one refused to serve anybody after only getting the drinks done. Clearly mismanaged staff that dont want to work above their minimum pay or were not trained to help out when their duties were complete. Also I saw couple of customers leave after waiting for their orders over an hour. The manager didn't try to hold them back or offer apologies. Another customer complained about seafood smell in their salad that took 45min to arrive.
Had to literally sigh outwardly and let my server know my Appetizers were delayed by an hour and no sign or update of it. Out came the jumbo shrimp half cold within mere seconds. Similarly another 30min later had to ask them to serve my pasta and tortellini and it was out in a couple min. So basically it's been ready for a bit and the servers werent on top of it.
Food wise, it was kinda mid. Over hyped. Only the mocktails were better than average. Main course was all on neutral side and nothing made them stand out.
Without a huge change in management, this restaurant is headed for a burnout and closure in a...
Read moreYesterday we had the pleasure of dining for my hubby’s birthday at this “underrated halal Italian” restaurant, and it was nothing short of an amazing experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance, perfect for a cozy and enjoyable Iftar. The decor was elegant yet comfortable, creating the ideal setting for a relaxed meal with family and friends.
Their Iftar buffet was absolutely outstanding! The menu featured a fantastic variety of authentic Italian dishes, all made with halal ingredients. From freshly baked garlic bread to rich, creamy soup & pastas and perfectly wood-fired pizza, every dish was crafted with great attention to flavor and presentation. The selection also included delicious Pulao which I took twice :) , fresh salads, and indulgent desserts tiramisu & my favourite Flan Pudding that made the experience even more special.
The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that every guest felt welcome and had everything they needed. Their service was prompt, and they happily accommodated any special requests.
If you’re looking for a hidden gem 💎 that serves delicious halal Italian food, this place is a must-visit especially during Ramadan! I highly recommend it for an unforgettable Iftar buffet experience. Will definitely be coming back soon! I wish I could post video I made but I screen shot some of the dishes I could from my video! 🤤 I also LOVED the creative touch of displaying Rooh Afza bottles like bar bottles along their wall AS it added a unique and cultural charm to...
Read moreI wanted to try a place that offered Italian food with a desi twist so I found this place based on the reviews it had. I was a bit skeptical but ended up taking my friends there and boy was I pleasantly surprised. It’s a cute little restaurant in the plaza that offers a great mix of modern and classic dishes. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a friendly staff who made us feel at home right away. I cannot say enough about the service we received by Aftab and rest of the team. It was Wednesday night and they have a deal that moms eat free when another person buys a dish. A coupe of my friends have kids but since it was girls’ night they didn’t bring their kids. We spoke to Aftab about it and we were informed that kids should accompany but he was so sweet that he brought us garlic cheese bread on the house. I opted for their three course meal with lobster bisque, which was a delightfully flavourful and the presentation was simple yet elegant. For the main course, I had the shrimp & salmon linguine, which was cooked to perfection. Oh and let me tell you about their spicy chilli sauce that they give you on the side for those who enjoy spicy food. It is to die for!!!! I ended up with a tiramisu cake which is highly recommended!!!! The portions were generous and the prices reasonable. I ended up ordering their Lime Margarita cocktail which was nice too. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Mambo Italiano. The food was flavorful, and the service impeccable. I will...
