Gemmill Park — Attraction in Mississippi Mills

We put in our Kayak just across the road from the park and paddled out. It's a beautiful stretch to paddle and took about 40 minutes there and back. It's an easy paddle past a few little waterfalls, and we turned around at the rapids. Gemill park itself is beautiful. There is a relatively new power generation building here which is at the base of the falls, but, they have taken the time to design it so that you can walk up to it and get some great views of the falls from either side of the building. Gemmill is I'd think the largest and most well known park in the area. It's conveniently located near the town centre and there's quite a lot of parking. Good sized grassy area, kid's play park, skate park and splash pad that's open in the warmer months. There's also a few trails if you want which are good year round.
