Like many old classic historical buildings, time buries it. The Forum is unrecognizable for what it once was. Most of it is erased, replaced by some kind of cafe, food, bowling alley, whatever. Nothing like the building where hockey history was made. Mostly high school kids hanging out. They left some artifacts, some photos, some silly statues. But most of the hockey stuff has moved to Bell Centre (downtown). So if a hockey fan, a Habs fan (or Bruins fan!) definitely don't leave town without going there. Only ghosts here.

I was very disappointed with my experience. I did not expect the movie to start while the lights were still on, and the air conditioning was not working. Although the AC was turned on after we complained, it was switched off again after about 45 to 50 minutes. This was during the 10:05 PM show on June 28, 2025, in auditorium 13.

Lots of fun with your kids. The popcorn doesn’t come cheap but it’s always nostalgic to be in the old arena where the canadiens won their last Stanley cup! Great movie theatre in the heart of downtown. Not all the blockbuster movies play here, but they have a great selection of foreign movies. Hindi, chinese, etc.

You call this a mall? It looks like every old mall that ever got abandoned for the new mall next door. Except here it never got off the ground. I've supported businesses here over the years and they always always ALWAYS close. Future shop? Soent thousands of dollars. Put that guys kids through college. Gone. Burgers and Benedicts? The guy would call us inside and outside because we always argued whether to sit inside or out. Because we were there all the time! Gone. You have the Comedy Nest which is actually a great place. And now finally Econofitness which is a great gym that is very affordable. Otherwise you guys are kind of a joke. You have a giant movie theater, right next to Dawson Cegep no less, that somehow never has the very popular movies I want to see and forces me to walk all the way to Peel for. That Dave and Busters wannabe place I go to once every three years. A Tim's that's one block closer to my apt than Alexis Nihon but just as far as the ones by guy and now an A&W where they ask you your name and get it wrong on purpose cuz they want free advertising like the pompous jerks at Starbucks. That I'm being asked to review the place finally, means your 6 years behind everyone else and have just put the cherry on top of the sundae that is your monumental botching of the ownership. The ice cream by the way, from what I hear, is you overcharging everyone on rent and scaring all your potential customers away. Me and a friend have a bet to see if you smarten up and turn it into condos or...

The Forum is ON the UPSWING !!

With the grand opening of the new Dollarama Store, built "into" the interior Forum footprint, another business takes root. This is the newest "neighbor to the neighborhood."

You will be surprised to know that you CAN GET certain groceries at the Dollarama for a really great price, where in the larger shops you will pay a lot more for staple foods. I shop at the Dollarama for a fair amount of foods and drinks, you cannot usually get at a regular grocery store, so their selection really does pay off.

I am always surprised by the Dollarama offerings, seasonally and on a weekly basis. It is always good to take a stroll through a Dollarama, especially a BRAND NEW Dollarama Store. You never know what might fit your fancy, right ??

Let us hope that in 2024, the other vacant spaces in The Forum become populated. But for now The Dollarama Store is the place to check out !!

NOTE: The entrance to the shop is outside on Lambert-Closse corner. Come and visit TODAY !!

With restrictions in place for so long, the Forum has suffered a great deal. There are only four operating spaces within. The Cineplex, A&W, the Comedy Club, and Mandy's salads. They have redecorated the main center ice and have rid the forum of any hockey history and decor, which is very sad. They just ripped away an entire history for Montreal. Several spaces have been under construction for years now with no endgame in sight. Come to the movies get a salad or a burger and see a show. The Forum needs you...

The Montreal Forum, once a hallowed shrine to hockey, now stands as a mere shadow of its former glory. This historical landmark, which played host to the greatest sports franchise in history, the Montreal Canadiens, has been stripped of its soul. The removal of the Canadiens' history and colors is a painful reminder of the passage of time and the changing landscape of sports. As a lifelong fan, stepping into the Forum was like stepping back in time. The echoes of the crowd, the smell of the ice, and the iconic bleu, blanc, et rouge were all part of the experience. It was a place where dreams were made and legends were born. To see the Forum stripped of its history is a gut punch. It's like watching a beloved friend slowly fade away. The Forum deserves better. It deserves to be honored, not forgotten. This decision is not only short-sighted but also disrespectful. The Forum should be a museum of hockey history, a place where fans can connect with the past and inspire future generations. Instead, it's been turned into a soulless commercial space. I urge the owners to reconsider their decision and restore the building to its former glory. The Forum is more than just a building; it's a symbol of hockey's rich history and a source of pride for Canadiens fans around the world. Let us not let this piece of...
