Shaughnessy Café — Restaurant in Montreal

I checked out a really interesting place—Shaughnessy Café at 1455 Rue Lambert-Closse, Montreal, Quebec H3H 1Z5! This is a super cozy café, tucked away in the basement. It has lots of tables, and while it's not huge, it creates a really cool, productive vibe. It's popular with people who come to work, study, and just hang out. As for the main event, the pastries here are absolutely top-notch! 🥐 They are always fresh and so delicious—you have to try them. The coffee is amazing: strong, aromatic, and perfectly roasted. It's the perfect boost of energy! ☕ The staff is super friendly and always happy to help. 😊 It's an excellent place that I happily recommend to everyone!

Filter coffee might be the best in the city -- for 2 reasons. First, the coffee beans they use are of the highest quality, as they often use SEY coffee from NYC, but occasionally use their own roasts which are great too, with occasional guest appearances from April (Copenhagen) and others. Secondly, the baristas are true professionals of their craft. They really know what they're doing. Switching the coffee beans every few days and making sure they taste good having to change the parameters for each coffee is very difficult to pull off. Their viennoiseries are great, too. I've been coming to Shaughnessy for a few years now and I still think it's the best coffee shop around. The coffee is excellent and their Chai latte & London fog are the best I've had in the area by a mile. They have a big selection of pastries (always fresh and damn good) as well as food options (their breakfast sandwich, can be made w/o meat, is SO good & so is their chia pudding). The space is welcoming, has a great vibe, good music and is well set up for meeting up with friends or studying. The staff is dope and they have an amazing selection of beans, natural wines and coffee paraphernalia....
