After our experience, the cleanliness is definitely in question!!! Service was ATROCIOUS cause we had an issue and tried to talk to 2 different people at the front desk, and neither of them cared or actually tried helping us....Long story as short as possible, my friend left a few clothes in the closet (which we understand was her fault) but when we called them the SAME DAY‐ only a few hours after we left- they said "nothing was reported by staff and new guests were already in the room." They didn't even try to offer any sort of help, but that means that either: A) Their cleaning staff stole the items (and they don't even try to return things/have a lost & found for stuff).....OR B) They don't clean the rooms very well, and those items were left in there when the next guests checked in....??
So either the new guests didn't see them (which, again, would then be up to the cleaning staff to find) OR the new guests kept the items? Kept some random strangers UNDERGARMENTS and some clothes AND didn't report it for some discount/reimbursement!? That seems like the most unlikely option of them all, but I guess possible... We even left all our info in case it was reported, so they could have contacted us! We also had friends staying there, so they could have gotten the stuff to us if it was found/ turned in!
This situation just has me questioning their entire cleaning practices, let alone staff behavior! It really wasn't that complicated of a situation and it should have been relatively easy to locate these items.....I understand if items aren't claimed from a lost and found after some time, sure they can do whatever they want with them, but this was literally the same day and only a few hours after we checked out. We didn't want anyone to get in trouble, didn't even make a scene, we were so polite asking and said we don't even care if they were taken by staff, we would just like them back-no questions asked! They didn't go back and look or even go ask the staff. We were basically shrugged away like it wasn't their problem at all. The cherry on top was that the parking lot was always full, so we had to fend for ourselves trying to find parking when the surrounding area is super sketchy... Overall awful experience here! Thanks...
Read moreI’m typically a very tolerant person but this experience was terrible enough for me to even bother writing a review. I’ve stayed at many, many hotels and the customer service here is by far the worst. No other experience comes remotely close. When I first entered the hotel to ask about parking, I greeted the woman at the front desk (June 15 approximately 8:30-9:30 pm). No reply from her. Waited a bit, then thought that maybe she didn’t hear and greeted her again. Note that she was sitting facing straight at me looking at a phone or something so there was little possibility that she couldn’t see me even if she didn’t hear me. She then proceeded to say something along the line of “wait a bit” in the most rude and impatient attitude and continue to, what seemed to be texting. After a while she finally finished what she was doing and continued her conversation with me in that same impatient and rude attitude. I remained friendly and patient during the entire encounter so it was quite odd that she was acting that way. The hotel room itself was average. However, there was music blasting from outside (very loud to the point where we couldn’t sleep at all, all night). So, if you value a good night’s sleep, it’s probably in your best interest that you don’t book a room at this hotel. Then, the next morning, when we tried to go downstairs, two cleaning staff were in the elevator when we arrived and were pushing carts of some sort out the elevator. Firstly, they completely ignored us even though we greeted them. Then, they proceeded to take about 15 minutes to switch carts and having personal conversations while continuing to ignore the growing number of people wanting to use the elevator but were not able to. Definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone. In summary, rude staff, rooms were barely tolerable (the room itself smelled unpleasant and bedding seemed unwashed), noise from outside can be heard clearly from the third floor even with the windows closed, valet parking costs around $35 and the front desk refused to answer if there were any alternative parking...
Read moreBest Western is surely a large hotel chain with a respectable reputation the world over, but this particular Best Western Plus is one of the ‘Best’ I’ve encountered anywhere, regardless of brand.
They really do embody what great hospitality is meant to be; despite being in the middle of a pandemic. The desk staff in particular is always pleasant and even smiling (though it’s now harder to see their smiles behind face-coverings, you know they’re still there).
The friendly, helpful and respectful front desk staff is just the beginning of many stand-outs that were beyond my expectations of several occasions to this well located property.
Here is a list of other notables in no particular order: Large lobby with a variety of seating options, with a multi-purpose hot beverage maker, tea service and water machine. Spacious rooms with high ceilings and in-room mini fridges plus Keurig machines. Bedding that makes you never want to sleep anywhere else —- from the mattress, to the pillows, to the sheets —- all pristine, fresh and new. Large glass walk-in showers and large windows. Wide flat screen TV, with cable and efficient wifi service. Modern central air and heating. Grab and go breakfast that comes in handy, so you only have to think about lunch and dinner. Central location with a bunch of shopping and food options within walking distance.
What I find most impressive is they have continued on with their high level of hospitality during the pandemic. With that, I wish to shout out to a few exemplary staff members: Andrea, Anastaysia, Rafik at the front desk. Mangers Kanil, G.M. Ricky and last but not least, Anshu; a fine and hardworking valet. There are others, but I can’t recall all the names.
In summary, a hotel brand can give you some degree of expectation, but it’s the actual management and staff that really make a place shine, stand-out and exemplify hospitality.
It was a blessing to discover such a property during these unique and...
