We had a terrible experience buying tickets on-line for the play " 9 to 5" .
I was sure I bought tickets for the 3rd row, corner seats, very clise to the stage. My husband printed the tickets and never bothered to check them carefully.
Parking there was a nightmare and we went in just before the beginning of the play.
We went to the seats we bought and they were still empty... however, when we checked our printed tickets, surprise!?!??? they said ROW T on them!!!!!!
We wentball the way back to row T, almost the last row, where we sat right behind 2 very talk ans hairy people!!! We couldn't ser almost anything, as being very old, the theatre didn't have Stadium type seats. We also couldn't hear well.
That is the reasin why I always buy more expensive tickets tombe in the front, even being in the corner, like in that case...
On the way out, we stopped at the ticket office where we complained about the SWITCHING of the tickets online. The employee told us that this happens often when u buy online, and you don't press an "extra" button to confirm the seats?!?!?!?
What is that!!!! Shame on you Massey Theatre!!!! Never again I will buy tivkets online for any performance...
Read moreWe saw Mary Poppins and it was absolutely amazing!!!! Lov d every minute of the performance. However regarding the theatre, it was freezing. Many people in the intermission went back to their cars to grab coats and blankets, even large garbage bags to try to keep them and themselves warm. It wasn't that it was just cold, it was like being in a windstorm. I complained so did many other people, but it continued for the rest of the show which is really unfortunate. People may have had a bad experience during a performance that deserved ultimate praise, which in my opinion was completely unfair, and would make me second-guess seeing something again in this theater. I even have an earache and a stiff neck tonight from the constant cold air blowing in my ear, never mind what my 80 year old mother is experiencing! 5 star for the performance!!! But only 3 for...
Read moreUnless this venue is hosting someone you must absolutely see, do not give this venue your business. The staff are totally incompetent, ranging from them not even knowing where to direct ticket holders for their seating to outright refusing to deal with disruptive and threatening patrons during events. The location manager refused to deal with a number of people who were clearly drunk and interrupting numerous rows around them throughout the show. After pressuring him to do his job, he called down an usher to deal with the people, only for the usher to then take 5-6 songs to actually come over and ask them to behave or leave. All in all: This venue's staff do not care about or respect patrons, nor the money they spent for a night out, and you're better served taking your...
