Ordered here several times and food and service has been good. However our most recent experience was disappointing. Ordered delivery today at 3:30pm. So we were not calling at a typically busy time. Advised on the phone: “fried rice with no egg due to allergy”. When meal came, the rice had egg in it. No biggy , it happens.
Called back regarding mistake and was rudely told someone would come back. Since it took almost an hour to get here the first time, I tried to tell them I had to leave for an appointment soon and she proceeded to scream at me on the phone they were coming right away and call was ended. In the meantime, I gave my rice I paid for to my neighbor as I cannot eat it.
When the driver arrived, he asked where the other rice was? Driver was very polite btw. I advised i was sorry but I gave it to my neighbor. It sounded like they needed it for another order he was on route to? He gives me my new rice and goes. Restaurant calls a few minutes after finally sitting down to eat, angry woman again on the phone: “why did you keep the rice?” Advised I gave it to a neighbor. She was upset that I had done this. I told her that I paid for it and it’s not my fault they screwed up the order and then failed to tell me to keep the rice when I called them. She says she has to get it back to show the owner? Very odd. Again call ends after saying I was really nice person to give it away , comment dripping with sarcasm.
Then a few minutes later she calls back again and tells me that if the owners call me I have to say I kept the other rice? Not one time did they apologize or offer any vouchers for the inconvenience. Instead just multiple calls with a nasty attitude and odd requests regarding the old food. Now I have to wait for the owner to call me to verify this?
Won’t order here again. Which sucks cuz their Szechuan Green Beans are...
Read moreThis us3d to be a good place in fact I would give 5 stars on food but don't want to mislead people. I went into the restaurant tonight yo order a combo plate. No problem I wanted sweet and sour pork. Cool no.6. I also wanted chicken balls but was told chicken balls very expensive 2.50 to switch. The combo is already 18.95 plus tax and tip. I do tip well at least 20 percent anyways. I said no and looked for another combo with chicken balls boo. No.4. OK so I ask can I switch the chicken and mixed vegetables for sweet and sour pork. Lady says yeah no problem then tells me substitution 2.50$ cmon are you really gonna try and do me like that I thought nope not this time will I let a greedy person get me. If she wouldn't have tried that kinda crap she would have gotten at least a fiver as a tip. I now know why this restaurant is empty last few times I've been in. That was a very greedy move and I'm tired of this game. Not playing. Be prepared to be gouged if you frequent this establishment. I fi d the menu price reasonable but I'm not gonna get gauged for anything by anyone. There are other Chinese restaurants around and they are comparable if not better so good luck now you lost another takeout customer. 1 among many I'm sure as I would bet my life this has...
Read moreThis is some of the most disappointing Chinese food I have ever had. Maybe this was an off day for them, considering their over all star rating, but either way-- totally unacceptable. The chicken balls are tiny, mostly made up of greasy breading, that manages to be slippery and tough at the same time, and with just a hint of chicken... The almond chicken smells AND tastes like fish sticks-- I'm not exaggerating... The egg Fu yum is mushy, and flavourless... The "Szechuan" style rice tastes, and, again, looks like plain rice with red pepper on it... And maybe the worst of all... Whole everything else seems to have a rugged toughness about it, like it was left under the heat lamps for 20 mins, but the dumplings have somehow turned out under cooked, soggy, and honest to god terrible.
TL;DR? If you're looking for a way to spend $65 quickly, but also be left with a deep resentment... Eat friggin' here.
If the owner is reading this, and wants to refund me-- great, but I'll never eat here again.
