I’m not local and checked out public skating. The administration guy was very nice and the regulars at the adult mid-day skate were welcoming. I loved the ice texture. I think the arena is colder than my local arena which had a positive effect on the ice surface. The other cool thing was that there were some really really skilled skaters there doing spins and jumps! There were two older women doing a little ice dancing too. I’d definitely recommend going to public skating here! There are 4 rinks, tons of parking, and vending machines. I didn’t see any cafe or restaurant but I didn’t look very hard.

Came here to watch four excellent draws of the Grand Slam of Curling's Tour Challenge. A very acceptable venue for the event, but could do with more elevators. Would love to see the event return here again! Far too many curling events are in faraway locations for me (I live in Hamilton). Again, caught some great curling action and it was a treat seeing Team Jennifer Jones win their first Slam as a new team (Jennifer's tenth) and seeing Team Daniel Casper pick up their first Slam title (it's a pity the Tier 2 doesn't receive as much coverage).

A beautiful arena at the east end of Thorold Stone Rd in Niagara Falls , On. I watched the Toronto Maple Leafs have their first practice. It was packed, standing room only. They bussed in 1500 kids who were let in first and gift most of the seats. Tickets were free but the lineup was around the front and side of the building. Best to go late.

Recently went to the Book Riot at the Game Center. It was in Rink 3. It was very hot in there and there was only one fan that I saw blowing air into the rink, but it was near an outside wall in a corner. I know the rink usually has ice, but when there is an event not involving ice there should be more fans or an air conditioner. It was so hot my Mom felt like she was going to pass out. Thankfully one of the volunteers got her some water and some wet paper towels to cool her down and a few snacks. My Mom and I are very thankful to the volunteer who helped my Mom and I and we are thankful for the kind gentleman who offered to get my Mom an ice pack...

Went to the arena to see my granddaughter play ringette. The rink we ended up at was nice and the seats comfortable. I just wish I had taken a blanket as it gets cold even if you're only watching a game for 1 hour. The facility was clean and inviting. However, I almost fell over when I paid for a hot chocolate and a coffee. Highway-robbery prices, in my opinion. I don't know if it is allowed to bring your own treats... I was just visiting from out of town and was unprepared. The bathrooms were clean and there is ample parking, although you may have to walk a bit to get to the entrance. This place was hopping with several games and...

It has somewhere you can get food, good heating, and the ice is managed well. The food is yummy they have fries, slushies, hotdogs, candy ect. The people who work there are exellant they are very polite I know all of this information because I play hockey at that arena. There is also a lot of seating there and you won't run out of chairs but even if you do (somehow) the staff will provide you with more. There's a bathroom there, a track and there's a second floor. They have 4 arenas there and the change rooms are quite clean but it usually just depends on the people that were in the...
