Mount Carmel Park — Attraction in Niagara Falls

A nice park with a long looping paved pathway made for running, walking, baby strolling, and biking. Upgraded sometime in 2009-2014 with 2 mulch playgrounds instead of 1 sand playground. All with completely new equipment.

Has 2 tennis courts, a sandy volleyball court (filled with a lotta weeds), 1 full size basketball court, 7 benches (5 ft long), 4 picnic tables (for Asian senior meetings), a toddler playground (ages 1-4), a children playground (ages 4+), giant grass area (great for soccer, no net though), a baseball diamond (no bases or diamond, only the batting cage).

Park is in the 2nd richest neighborhood in Niagara Falls so the people and houses are nice, and a giant hill (2-3 storeys high or 6-9 meters) for sledding and tobogganing.

It used to have a pond all year long, but is shut down. However it turns into an ice rink in the winter. Never seen anyone smoking at this...

Nice path and pretty clean, but there's currently no lighting so it's pitch black to walk through at night. Even just some small solar lights along the path would help with safety...
