Where do I begin?? The patio was open so we got to sit outside (cozy and clean). The waitress (who I specifically did not ask her name out of respect for her privacy but she knows who she is lol) was cute as a button with a shining personality. She was attentive, friendly and very personable.
We started with cold beer from the tap (nice variety to choose from) and the Alibi platter (phenomenal assortment) which was fried to perfection so the batter/breading was enjoyable to eat. We also ordered the Zombie (burger) which was presented BEAUTIFULLY and was delicious. The potato skins were hearty and tasty.
Now let's get into the mixed drinks. I ordered a White Freezie which is sweet but YUM! This started a conversation with our waitress about playing with the flavors a bit. She brought me a custom drink that reminded me of a bubblegum snow cone from back home. I was SO TICKLED and appreciated the extra effort she extended. Now yall, get this! Bless her, next time our waitress came out she was holding a FROZEN version of my bubble gum snowcone cocktail. Her boss surprised me-by making me a SECOND custom drink which was essentially a grown up snowcone. If you're reading this, let me ask you... when was the last time you visited an eatery that put that much effort into customer service?? I really do appreciate his generosity and her making our visit extra special.
We aren't from London but thanks to Google we found Alibi. If you live there...GO! Why haven't you been yet? haha If you're a visitor to the city.. GO eat there! The menu has all the bar food you expect with some original additions and versions that will tempt your tummy. I bet it will be hard to decide what you're going to order. ; )
P.S. It has it's own parking lot so no driving around trying to figure out where...
Read moreOverall experience was good until I walked up to the register to pay. Our waitress verbally told me my total and gave me the card machine without printing or showing me a itemized receipt. The machine showed the total of $94.79 and prompted me to tip in which I left a 18% tip for them.
I felt the total was more than I expected so I asked for a receipt, the waitress handed me my card copy of the receipt so I had to ask for an itemized receipt. After fiddling around with the machine she printed off my itemized receipt and I returned to my seat. I realized they had already charged me gratuity and did not show or mention this to me.
As we walked out I told another available staff member kindly that I was charged gratuity twice she said pointing at the receipt in my hand “It says right there, gratuity” To which I replied, Sorry but I was not given this receipt, just a machine with a total. She then said “We charge an automatic gratuity after 9:00 PM for larger bills”
I did not feel like arguing so I told her, it would just be nice to know prior next time.
It could really have been an honest mistake but the lack of accountability is disappointing. No apology for not giving me the itemized receipt before handing me the machine. No offer to fix the extra charge. Just a whole lot of attitude and a bad experience. I could have asked for the receipt before I paid and was handed the machine, that was a mistake on my part. Read moreOrdered the other night from UBER. When the order arrived half of the food was missing. (no fault of UBER) When I called they said there was nothing they could do (because they can't deliver) I was to call UBER, get a credit and reorder. This would cost me a second delivery fee. Also half my family would be eating an hour later. Everything that was the same and double on my order did not arrive. Two identical wraps (got one) two orders of fries (got one) ect. They said that there was nothing they could do for me. Even though they forgot to send half my order! If a company has no way of making a messed up order ok, they should not offer any kind of delivery, not even UBER. On top of that the food was under cooked and not good at all. They used to be good, but the last few times I have gone there , the food had not been great. So I would recommend you do not order from them with UBER as they can't seem to wrap their heads around ordering more of the same exact item. Also you will be disappointment with your food. In the age where negative comments can make or break a business, you would think they would have tried harder to solve my issue. Not another dollar of mine will even be spent here. I would suggest you also find an alternative as there are lots of great ones...
