Great place to visit in the heart of downtown london on the banks of the Thames river. Ivey Park has nice walks around extensive floral gardens and a wide range of mature trees. Located at the famous Forks of the Thames you get river views of all three of the Thames river branches as you follow the riverside path. There are children's playgrounds with swings, slides and climbing frames and picnic tables nestled among the trees. For your comfort and convenience there are also Public Toilets open most of the year but not in winter. An interesting sculpture on the east side of the park commemorates the Tollpuddle Martyrs who were Trades Union activists from England who in the mid 1800's were convicted and deported to Australia for starting one of the first Trade Unions. Eventually pardoned 3 of them took voluntary emigration to Canada where they lived the rest of their lives happily here in London. Just across the road from the sculpture a short walk leads you to downtown London and coffee shops and bars etc.

I just recently moved to London and Ivey Park is just nearby our place. I would walk here everyday after work to relax and enjoy the scenic view given that it was in the city. I love passing by the King Street Bridge. There is a bike and walking trails for both adults and kids, theres playground and splash pad, an access to the river and a parking lot. Just beware of some crack heads passing by from time to time.

Lovely little park at the Forks of the Thames River. Playground for the kids and nice gardens to relax. The walkway along the river is actually a bike path so if walking one has to be aware. There is a coffee shop across the street that caters to cyclists. Though the views of the river are amazing, there are homeless people living and sleeping under the bridges.

Really disappointing park at the heart of London. We went on a pleasant Saturday in August and was surprised that it was nearly empty of people, trash was everywhere, the equipment was not child friendly and a lot of it was in disrepair. There is so much potential being wasted. The washroom are also pretty gross, not maintained and full of trash in the stalls.

I used to say London parks are nice just don't go off the beaten path... but now the needles and garbage are overflowing onto the paths. I from now on will take my children out of town to go to parks unroll we move from this town... very sad I should of stayed in suburbs instead of moving downtown tainting my image of london
