We live in the building. Okay offerings nothing over the top. Coffee is expensive and could be better with dismissive arrogant staff. Really great patio though. One of the nicest in london. Find it a little mismatched that they promote a super healthy lifestyle and pedal power with their bikes over cars motif but their staff smell of cigarettes which is off putting and seeing them hang around the stairs like a bunch of high school degenerates or drop outs smoking is disappointing for such a nice building. At least go around the corner away from the public or other businesses. At this rate if you’re walking up the stairs, instead of having to walk around the whole building to get to York street, you don’t have any other choice but to walk through it. Doesn’t match the healthy lifestyle vibe you know what I mean? Just my two cents. Wish they would clean up their image with this because it’s makes them look very low class. But maybe that’s what they’re aiming for?
Response to your added P.S. I understand what you are saying about respect and we do feel that it definitely should go both ways. Have your staff be kind to people spending their hard earned money at your place and smoke around the corner is common sense and should be common practice. We pay a lot of money to live here and so does everyone else. Having to walk around the entire building to avoid a TOXIC and unhealthy habit to avoid it is unnecessary and rude. I don't know how the businesses on the corner feel about this but I do know how the other residents feel. All in all it's not good for the building or the residents and after your remark, we will be contacting Tricar. Definitely will not be coming back even after you make...
Read moreAbsolutely disgusting behavior from their staff. Extremely unprofessional, unhelpful and outright rude.
Rolled by on my bike today and saw customers leaveing the store. The doors were wide open with several customers inside looking at bicycles.
I walked in because I just wanted to ask for a rough estimate regarding how much it would cost for a very basic repair (plastic piece on the gear shift was broken). An extremely rude employee asked if I was someone named "Robert". When I said that I was not, I was told to leave the store because "we are busy with a group today". Apparently these employees don't value customer service whatsoever.
I informed the staff members that I only had a very quick inquiry and was one again told that I was not a priority because of some group and that they're closed to everybody else..
I absolutely do not recommended this business to anybody seeking bike repairs. I went to another shop just down the road and got the repair done in a matter of minutes even though I was just looking for a price estimate.
I suggest that the owners of this business have a discussion with their employees regarding the professionalism and attitude. Perhaps might be a good time to discuss the appropriate way to speak to...
Read moreAs someone who favours Downtown London, this place is a godsend on most Sundays when servicing your bike is needed. With low prices, swift service and friendly atmosphere for simple repair jobs like tire flats, this place will get you back in action with a smile. The cafe portion is a welcome bonus as the ideal waiting area at least as you relax waiting.
Even better, when my bike was stolen, this business generous enough to provide a used bike, albiet one they felt they could not sell, as a replacement for free. While obviously this is not a particular service everyone should expect, it still speaks so well as to the staff's character to at least their regular customers.
That said, this is not the place for extensive repairs with many parts having to be on order and the selection of accessories pales against To Wheels'. In addition, while this cafe is open on Sundays, it is only available for simple repairs like flat tires which is most vexing such as on Civic Holiday weekend when my bike chain broke and I had to get my bike to Mountain Equipment Co-op in south London for this...
