Visited this place early in the morning Sunday just to check some local grown foods and meat. My personal observation is that some local vendors seem to be nice and friendly to most local customers, but somehow, we don't feel the same when we try to check some shops. They have the rules of "No Shirts, No shoes, No Entry" policy by the entrance. Wearing our clean clothes and long pants, but we got rolling of eyes and avoidance of conversation from some of the vendors. Ventilation needs improvement. The young one said she felt like there's a heat wave inside and that she somehow felt uncomfortable coming back. Live music on 2nd floor. Free parking.

Generally I love going to this market on a Saturday morning. This past weekend I decided to go on Sunday and looked up the hours online. I looked at the first one I saw which had the hours 11-3 on Sunday (which is incorrect). I went in at 2:10 to find everyone either packed up or in the process of packing up and wondered why. One of the vendors (selling apples) by the front door was very rude and kept yelling at me to look at the sign on the door. Just to stop her continually following me and chastising, I showed her the screen shot attached. Not impressed with a Vendor going all nasty on me. I can take my business elsewhere.

Pretty cool little market.. if you're looking for vegetables and farm-fare they really don't have that much, and most is over priced. But if your looking for a good selection of meats, cheese, local craft honey, craft and hand made items this is a great place. For Vegan and plant based shoppers they've got a great little shop with vegan cheese, meats and frozen stuff you don't see anywhere else. There's lots of great food vendors offering a wide variety of different food items if your looking to eat lunch there as well. Love this place, just wish the hours were a little longer.

Many wonderful vendors. Unfortunately, an inappropriate security guard overstepped his professional role. I spend upwards of $100 dollars there per weekend on momos, crystals, veggies, cheeses, breads, clothing etc, etc and also chauffeur numerous friends to and fro as well.

Today I was shocked at the $40 price tag on a pound of mushrooms and voiced my opinion. I did not yell or swear or call names. I just shared my opinion that $40 per pound was a lot, even for organic, based on my recent shopping experiences in Ontario, BC and Alberta farmer's markets. I then was followed around by this short, gray haired old man, whom if it weren't for his badge, I'd have shooed away for ogling my attractive low cut blouse and breathing down my neck he was standing so close.

After asking him why he was badgering me, he threatened to BAN me permanently from the market. It was uncalled for and humiliating, intimidating and hurtful since I had only shared an opinion that I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking. I was then harassed until I left by this bully of a man who seemingly just enjoyed the power dynamic his position granted him and probably wanted the memories of dominating me for later when he was bored and alone.

I complained to the manager, who said he'd watch the security footage and refresh the heavy handed employee's knowlege of how to properly handle ACTUAL issues, and not waste time over silly...

Always pleasant to visit and the vendors are mostly pleasant even if you do not always buy from them although there may be a couple who can be cool and withdrawn unless you spend money on them. Practically every vendor has something different and unique on offer even the produce vendors. The plant shop vendor and the cut flowers vendor are both pleasant to deal with. The food vendors which are essentially the entire first floor is open as an essential needs category of retail and therefore open to walk-in customers.

The upstairs craftsmen and textiles/clothing vendors which are usually open unless we are in pandemic lockdown mode are also equally unique and pleasant to visit and shop from. Definitely worth a visit to this market and a purchase or two!

New vendors selling pastries and fresh and excellent quality seafood have joined the Western Fair Market Family. New we eating court on the second floor provided additional space for eating. Visit and support your...

Hello,

The market does not have enough fans for vendors and customers during heat waves (i.e. June 22, 2024-the visit to the market). It was hard to watch vendors and farmers enduring the lack of movement of air in the facility. This customer left early because of the lack of circulation of air at the Western Fair Market, 900 King Street, London, ON.

Traditionally farmers' markets aren't air conditioned. Having livestock on the premises would definitely cause harm to animals at future endeavors at this location during heat waves particularly.

This customer also left early because the heat in the market was not conducive to persons of disabilities. Cancer treatment individuals cannot tolerate the heat in confined spaces.

The market is a great place to get farm fresh local food. It will be hard to shop there when there is/are heat waves.

Sincerely, A dedicated...
