I cannot express how angry and disappointment I am. I have spent a small fortune in this store over the past 5 years as I own a video production agency. Stacks of hard drives, computers ranging between $4600-$7000, several monitors, Keyboards, NAS devices, yards of cable (outfitted 3 offices in 3 different locations) routers, Ethernet switches, printers...you name it I essentially purchased it from this store. I brought in my $7000 build (purchased from this store) for service as it was acting up. Turns out I needed a new mother board. Keep in mind I had to take this computer in 3 times before they figured out it was the mother board. On my old motherboard I had a 1TB Samsung M.2 solid state drive. The person servicing the computer either stole it or didn't take it off the old motherboard and put it on the new motherboard. So I get my computer back, it's working great, but a few weeks later we realize that the internal drive from the computer is missing. This went on for a few weeks without being notices because we were working off our server and the only time we use the internal drive is if we have to edit larger files (6K footage etc.). I went into Canada Computers to address the problem thinking this could have been a simple mistake and they would give me back the drive. I was wrong. Judging by the manager's tone, he just thinks I am looking to get a free hard drive. He said his hands are tied because there is no record of it and the person who serviced the computer, coincidentally, no longer works at the store. Of course there is no record of it! If you steal something or misplace something with out knowing, would you leave a note for the manager? They are fully aware that my build has a 1TB m.2 but have done nothing but jerk me around. After he said his hands were tied he said he would look into it. It's been months now and I have been in the store multiple times and still nothing. I have 3 year direct replacement coverage on my computers from this place and it makes me cringe. The fact that I may have to potentially deal with theses people infuriates me!! I would rather pay double the price for anything if it meant not going back there and spending another dime. If they think I am just going to walk away from this they are terribly mistaken. I have tried to be patient with this. Customer services in this place is literally non existent. These people don't care how much you spend, they still treat you like garbage. I can go on with some more ridiculous experiences I had in this store, but I will save all that for the document my lawyer will be sending to head office if they don't give me back my hard drive the next time I go in. You can't do this to good, paying customers without...
Read moreI am a Canada computers customer who purchased a laptop 6 months or so roughly aswell as purchased a 3 year tech care warranty. I had brought my computer in due to physical damage that happened and they offered to ship it off to MSI to see if the manufacturer would cover it under warranty. They denied, and I am aware that Canada Computers does not cover accidental damage so they returned the laptop to me about a month later. Before I had gave it to them, the computers performance was at 100%. Just the display was not working, and there was damage to the physical computer. But if you plug it in to a hub to display to the monitor it was 100% working and in good performance. Upon receiving the computer back it was having an overheating issue, thermal throttling, so two days later I had gave it back to them to fix that issue, and 1-2 weeks later they had returned it to me with that issue fixed. Then I turned the computer back on and it was SEVERLY underperforming. Again before I originally handed it to them the computer was at 100%. A day after getting it back again I brought it back to them to look at it, they called me back in 5 days or so to let me know when they had sent it off originally to the manufacturer (which they actually sent it off to there head office as they are authorized to work on MSI equipment), they removed the battery which reset the bios. And because the display was not working they couldn't see the bios and there was nothing they could do to fix the computer. I had spoken to the store manager, he said "because we can not fix the computer because of the display not working we can not cover it under warranty". Again yes I know the display is accidental damage, but the performance issue is something THEY caused. Not only that according to the warranty I purchased, "If Canada Computers is unable to repair a product covered by Tech Care Repair, a replacement system will be provided. This replacement system will be of equal or greater manufacturer specifications, of any brand, new or refurbished." Which is something I was not even offered. Not only that they wasted a lot of my time and money bringing it to them 3 times and now gave me back a computer in worse condition then I gave it to them in. I have now contacted cooperate office. I would highly not recommend purchasing warranty because clearly they do...
Read moreSummary - good products and prices, but horrible customer service and repair services. don't expect help if something goes wrong at this location.
Ive purchased a few computers from this buisness as they have some high end stuff. The issue is the service department. I've never experienced such poor customer service skills and communication. For one, be prepared to wait. Ive stood around, no lie, for 45 minutes once while they talked to each other behind the counter, while helping a total of one person. . A second time, i waited 2 hours. Absolutely no ability to multi task, very odd. I recently had an issue with my computer i purchased from them. It over heated i brought in to get checked. They told me, no issues, its fine. Since that visit, i started having a new issue. I have been in five times, each dropping my computer off for a week or more. Each time, apart from once, I was told there was no issue with my computer and its something I did or im doing. After going through every possible reason why its my fault (ie my home wirering) The third time, one employee indicated there was an issue and recommended a replacement part, which I purchased and they installed. The original issue stopped at this point, but then immediately a new, more problematic issue started. I brought it back and again, was told it was something I was doing and there were no issues. I put up a fuss and asked to simply replace the most recently replaced part, which as mentioned seemed to trigger the new associated issue. They went on and on about how it not tv e computer(i assume im imagining it?) , i spoke to manager who was no more helpful and again, made it seem like im just an idiot and there is nothing wrong.
I think what really was awful, is at no point... In all visits apart from the one where one person, who i never seen again, helped has anyone said "we are sorry for the issues" "we are sorry for the delay" "we will do what we can" never, never one ounce of ownership of the problem, that didn't start until i brought my computer to them. The customer service at the service counter at this site is abysmal. I'll try another location cause the buisness as a whole, is good, just not...
