First off many of these reviews are enticed. We heard a server agreeing to give a 10% discount to 6 customers if they all gave reviews on the spot. The server explained he can do this on $300+ orders. My family went on a weekday evening for dessert only and it was quite busy! My husband ordered two types of kenafa (sweet shredded pastry with cheese). I ordered virgin mango margarita that did not look like the photo and was just very cold mango juice with a lemon slice on top. My son had the mango drink which was cheaper and was exactly the same but with a sprig of mint on top. The kenafa takes at least 15 minutes to bake. The ambience is alright to good but the servers were very disorganized and were running about in all direction with no particular table to attend though they did appear friendly. Tea is free but they bring it by the Arabic glass. One of the kenafa came with no cheese or ice cream on it as was indicated on the menu. It was just shredded pastry with syrup & pistachios on top. The small kenafa was good flavour but contained barely any cheese. When we told a server about there being no cheese in the large kenafa he said it’s meant to be that way. The server spoke to another employee who spoke to another as if they did not know what to do with our complaint. Then we were told they will make us another one but there will be no pistachios on it. After 20 minutes of waiting with children another kenafa came and it did have pistachios on top and lots of cheese but the oil or butter tasted somewhat rancid that I did not detect in the...
Read moreI recently dined at Aghar Turkish Restaurant and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, their attention to detail was impeccable—everything from the napkins and cutlery holders to the plates was thoughtfully arranged, enhancing the dining ambiance. The food itself was quite good, with authentic flavours that showcased the richness of Turkish cuisine. Despite the restaurant being really busy, the waiting time for both our meals and seating was surprisingly reasonable, which was a pleasant surprise. However, the service left much to be desired. While it started off strong, our server left midway through our meal, leaving our table unattended. We requested another server, who assisted briefly before disappearing as well, leaving us to fend for ourselves. When we ordered dessert, a few items were missed, which was disappointing. Additionally, one of the staff members inexplicably removed our water glasses from the table without any explanation, which felt quite strange. I also noticed several safety concerns. The floor, while beautiful, was noticeably slippery and greasy, posing a potential hazard. Moreover, cables were left on the floor, creating a tripping risk for both staff and customers. These issues could easily lead to accidents and should be addressed promptly. Overall, while the food and attention to detail were commendable, the inconsistent service and safety concerns impacted the dining experience. I hope the management addresses these issues to ensure a more enjoyable and secure visit...

We orderd Manti as it s very simple and also well known in the turkish cuisine ...it was a horbile kind of dumbling on top of balgan yougurt !
