Our regular visits to the Canada Science and Technology Museum have become a highlight for my 4-year-old son and I. The Ingenium membership, coupled with a parking pass, has proven to be an excellent investment, providing access to multiple museums across Ottawa and beyond.

One standout feature is the flexibility offered by the membership, allowing us to explore various museums within the Ingenium network, both in Ottawa and across Canada. The convenience and cost-effectiveness of this package enhance our overall museum experience.

For parents with sensory-sensitive children, like my autistic son, the first two hours of each day offer a serene environment. This quiet period is a thoughtful touch, accommodating those who may find crowded spaces challenging. It's been a game-changer for us, creating a comfortable setting for my son to explore and learn without overwhelming stimuli.

Our visits are consistently enjoyable, and the diverse exhibits cater to a broad range of interests. The engaging and interactive displays ensure that every trip is a unique adventure for my son, fostering his curiosity and enthusiasm for science and technology.

The staff's understanding and support add to the positive experience. They create an environment where my son, who has difficulty understanding social cues, feels at ease. Their patience and willingness to assist contribute to a welcoming atmosphere that makes our visits stress-free and enjoyable.

Without fail, each visit is a fun-filled experience for both of us. The Science and Tech Museum succeeds in creating an educational and entertaining space that sparks curiosity in young minds.

If my 4-year-old could voice his opinion, he'd enthusiastically suggest adding a permanent Titanic exhibit. His fascination with the topic is a testament to the museum's ability to captivate young imaginations. Considering the museum's commitment to engaging exhibits, incorporating a Titanic display would undoubtedly enhance the already impressive array of attractions.

The Science and Tech Museum consistently delivers a five-star experience for families. The Ingenium membership, accommodating quiet hours, and the overall welcoming atmosphere make it a standout destination. Our regular visits have become a cherished routine, and we look forward to continuing our explorations in this enriching and family-friendly...

Absolutely love the Canadian Science and Technology Museum — it's one of the best family-friendly spots in Ottawa, hands down. Whether you're a local or just visiting the city, this place is an absolute must-visit. We've been several times, and every single visit offers something new to explore. It’s a perfect mix of fun and learning that keeps both kids and adults entertained.

My kids especially love the full-size locomotive you can actually climb into — it’s such a cool, hands-on experience that makes them feel like real engineers. The slanted kitchen is another huge hit; it’s weird and wonderful in all the right ways, and watching the kids try to walk through it is hilarious. And the soundproof room? That’s always a blast — the moment the noise disappears, their eyes go wide every time.

The museum also puts on incredible science shows. They're super interactive, high energy, and do a great job of making science exciting and accessible. It’s not just someone talking at you — the presenters get the crowd involved and make it fun for all ages.

On top of that, there are always extra STEM activities going on throughout the museum. Sometimes it's coding, other times it's building or experimenting, but there's always something hands-on and engaging. It’s great to see kids learning without even realizing it because they’re having so much fun.

While the whole museum caters to all ages, I really appreciate that they’ve thought about younger children too. There’s a section designed specifically for little ones, and it's full of interactive exhibits that let them explore at their own pace. It’s a great space for toddlers and preschoolers to safely play, learn, and burn off energy while still being part of the bigger experience.

Honestly, I can't recommend this place enough. It's well laid out, constantly updated, and clearly run by people who care about sparking curiosity and wonder in every visitor. Whether you’re a science nerd or just looking for something fun to do with your family, this museum checks all the boxes. We’ll definitely keep...

Canada Science and Technology Museum — Family Visit Review

We visited the Canada Science and Technology Museum last weekend with our family, and it was a fantastic experience. The kids had a great time exploring all the interactive exhibits and activities, and the adults enjoyed refreshing their own science and technology knowledge.

The ticket prices were reasonable, and with the Strong Pass, you get additional discounts, which is a nice bonus. At the entrance, after check in, they provided us with maps, and each exhibit room was clearly labeled, making it easy to navigate from one gallery to the next. The museum layout is very intuitive, with rooms connected in a way that lets you flow naturally through the space.

The amount of information and hands-on learning available is incredible — truly a brain gym for kids! There was so much to learn, from basic scientific principles to complex technology concepts, all explained through simple and engaging experiments. This interactive approach really makes science come alive.

There were plenty of activities to keep the kids engaged, including hands-on stations, games, and even demonstrations. Adults will find it equally fascinating, with opportunities to revisit and reconnect with science and tech concepts they might have forgotten.

The museum is quite large, so I would recommend planning for at least 4 to 6 hours, depending on how deeply you want to explore each area. We hadn’t fully planned our time and ended up having to skip the last block of exhibits, so be sure to allow enough time if you want to see everything.

I didn’t notice a dedicated refreshment area or café, so if you have kids who might need a snack break, it’s best to check with the front desk about food and drink options before you start your tour.

Parking was easy, and the staff at the entrance were friendly and patient

Overall, this museum is absolutely worth your time. It’s educational, entertaining, and suitable for all ages. Highly...
