There's community parks, there's urban parks and there's iconic parks. Brantwood park has it all, it is a jewel and iconic of the Ottawa region as it's bordered by the Rideau River and has exhuberant nature and nice lawn areas. It is also part of the Rideau River Natural Trail which offers visitors a good circuit to bike, jog or walk. The Ottawa-Gatineau has incredibly beautiful parks, and this one should be near of the top of parks to visit. If I were a visitor or a newcomer I would try to come experience this park to realize the incredible beauty nature has to offer in the national capital region, and the trail also leads you to observe some really nice and modern residential areas. This park is well suited for families with young children as it has well maintained play areas, as well as large open areas to play sports, tennis courts and docks to fish or observe the river from up close.

Such a beautiful park in a great neighborhood. The park has been well taken care by the employees. It has baseball and basketball courts, a pool for kids, a playground for children and a short nice walking path. It’s such a great spot for a family picnic in the middle of the town. Btw, restrooms are open and clean.

It is a great Park with a wading pool & two play structures plus swings the City could be better at maintaining amenities. Come visit the great community maintained ice rink. Currently under water as river has burst its banks. This has slowed down the cleanup from ice storm but the park will dry out & recover.

A quiet park along the Rideau River. Very pretty surroundings and some trees for shade. Nice play structure and swings and a sand-filled areas around the structure. An outdoor ice rink in the winter. A wading pool in the summer. Tennis courts and a ball diamond as well. There's a floating dock there to launch kayaks and canoes. Follow the path by bike or foot north to the bridges across the Rideau and to the falls at the Ottawa River or south further into Old Ottawa South and Billings Bridge. An Old...

I disliked it for my own purposes: I like going on long walks with my dog along the water ways in Ottawa. Even though all the parks around this on are dog friendly, this on is not, meaning I have to detour around it.

I wish google maps could tell you which parks are dog friendly before you get there. That's why I'm writing this review.

Otherwise, I'm sure this...
