There's community parks, there's urban parks and there's iconic parks. Brantwood park has it all, it is a jewel and iconic of the Ottawa region as it's bordered by the Rideau River and has exhuberant nature and nice lawn areas. It is also part of the Rideau River Natural Trail which offers visitors a good circuit to bike, jog or walk.
The Ottawa-Gatineau has incredibly beautiful parks, and this one should be near of the top of parks to visit.
If I were a visitor or a newcomer I would try to come experience this park to realize the incredible beauty nature has to offer in the national capital region, and the trail also leads you to observe some really nice and modern residential areas.

Read moreI disliked it for my own purposes: I like going on long walks with my dog along the water ways in Ottawa. Even though all the parks around this on are dog friendly, this on is not, meaning I have to detour around it.
I wish google maps could tell you which parks are dog friendly before you get there. That's why I'm writing this review.
