Valiants Memorial is located at Confederation Square in the city centre of Ottawa. What you find here is a collection of statues, busts and memorial plaques dedicated to important historical figures of the French Regime, American Revolutionary Period, War of 1812-14, WWI and WWII.

The Memorial was dedicated in 2006 and are the work of artists Marlene Hilton Moore and John McEwen. Well worth spending a few minutes viewing the various monuments at the Valiants Memorial. You can conveniently do so before or after viewing the National War Memorial and Tomb of the...

Among the figures honoured with sculptures are Laura Secord (War of 1812), General Sir Arthur Currie (World War I), Major Paul Triquet (World War II), and Thayendanegea (Joseph Brant), an ally of the British during the American Revolution.
