TL;DR, outstanding food, fantastic service, but a few tricky details with the drinks! We've got a tradition of going here for valentine's, so as an early heads up, book early because they do tend to get booked out well in advance! Straight out of the gate, the staff are really polite, well organised and professional. From the front of house, to bussing, bar staff and servers, it's like clockwork! For opening drinks, we opted for a house classic of an Old Fashioned, and one of their specialities, the Razzle Dazzle. The Razzle Dazzle is sweet, and our server advised us of that, but was really very enjoyable. The old fashioned was spot on, and nice to get a classic where other places are determined to go down the smoked route. Starters were excellent! The classic Cesar salad was nicely dressed without going over the top on dressing. Beef Tenderloin Carpaccio is an absolute flavor masterpiece, with the little details of red onion, capers and paper thin beef being just wonderful. Really recommend that one! For mains, here's where it gets really interesting! There's a little detail on their steak menu that they will English cut any steak for sharing, so we opted for their biggest, chunkiest bone in ribeye and two sides. This is well worth considering, particularly for something like a date night. The crust on this was just sensational, and cooked absolutely perfectly! Their big ribeye is a lovely amount for two, beautifully presented too (also the herb butter is outstanding). For sides, the fries are brilliant but the roasted broccoli is an absolute unsung hero. A note at this point on drinks. While the food and service was nothing short of outstanding, the drinks side of things is probably the only thing that didn't hit the mark. For wines, a lot of their by-the-glass are about the same price for a 9oz as a full bottle in the LCBO, and their by-the-glass is very limited, like no French option and only a $52 Stag's Leap (again, go check LCBO!) That being said, there are some reasonable options, but it's worth doing some research before you go. While the cocktails were good, we also had a standard G&T which was not well balanced. Dial back the ice, add more tonic! Overall, however, it's a good fine dining experience. A mention should go out to the atmosphere of the place, and it is really well run. If the drinks side was tightened up and modernised, it would be faultless. A really good experience overall, and worth a go!

I spent a couple days in Ottawa last month and when I arrived I was very hungry so I met with my mom and we decided to just eat in the hotel restaurant. We were not disappointed. The decor was very nice and relaxed. It was a tad dark as part of the ambiance but honestly it was may e just a tad too low, my mom had to use her phone light and I'm only 31 but I had troubles reading it. Regardless of that it was very comfortable inside. We were greeted by Sasha I believe her name was, very nice and professional. She seated us and gave us a minute or two to figure out what we'd like to drink to start. As we were deciding Sasha came back with these two little delicious and beautifully crafted bites made of pear, chicken, arugula, ,cinnamon and balsamic "pear chicken bite" tasters and they were AMAZING! Sasha explained that the chef's tend to make a rotating daily inspiration dish and today I'd say I got very lucky to have been able to savor these imaginative creations. I ordered the filet mignon with the roasted brussel sprouts bowl. The steak came medium rare as desired and as it should be! Tender and delectable are the two words that comes to mind when trying to describe the amazing flavor profiles of the steak. The brussel sprouts were exceptional as well with some garlic bits mixed in if I'm not mistaken. Definitely a winner. For dessert I asked what would be a suggestion and Sasha had mentioned that the coconut cream pies are amazing but that apparently they have some of the best creme brule in town so I took her up on that and wow she was not bullsh!tting! Overall the dining experience was just what I needed to relax, recoup and then recluse into my room. Sasha was an amazing host I definitely recommend popping by here if you ever get a chance!

No issues with the food or atmosphere However, I do wanna take note that they’ve got some new manager Who is very confrontational and ignorant to women…, Three of my guests Had I’m not so good in interaction with him All of them are female…. He shoed My one friend away that was just trying to look at a menu And another front house where the bathroom was, and he said read the signs…. Super unprofessional never seen him there before

Proceeded to follow my one friend around the restaurant For no reason whatsoever acting like she’s done something wrong and that was not the case at all she was trying to gather us all up to take us home She was the designated driver. This man treated her the worst of all. Absolutely disrespectful and truthfully would never go there again because of this… And then there’s Taylor.

Lastly a waitress By the name of Taylor… Who I really believe Is not meant for this business

She took a very long time to serve, I was there since 7-8 pm and Getting a drink was like pulling teeth She took forever And she would be socializing with other servers gossiping … Taking her time and then you would see her running to get the drinks

Our entire table of 30 people had the same impression that she was slow and distracted .. Nonetheless serving is a hard job … But she would get offended when we would go up to the bartender to order instead of ordering through her … and then was very rude when she brought my wine after 20’min I had already got a glass from the bar staff … my friend had said it’s ok she got a glass from the bar it’s been a while we thought you forgot. she said “ my friend was rude, caused a HUGE scene with the staff and infront of everyone very poor me attitude Said that she was busy running around for all our friends when we were there with 2 girls (3 of us..) She accused my friend for being rude because she let her know that the bartender actually gave the drink to me before the waitress (Taylor ) got back 20 minutes later I just didn’t need two glasses of wine. I had one that’s all I asked for. And someone give it to me before she did … not sure the issue with this girl but definitely had issues with us and we didn’t do anything to her. She absolutely ruined the vibe there… My friend tried to Talk to her, and she just kept making rude remarks, saying that my friend was being rude when she wasnt

My other friend tried to speak to her, and she walked away, rolling her eyes and punching in the bill really abruptly Wouldn’t add a tip or an option for a tip just being very petty No one said anything about not tipping her She was just very off and honestly I don’t believe she should work at this place. It’s a very classy place. This waitress was not suited for this job. We met a lot of friends that spend a lot of money at this place and nobody was happy with the service from this girl.

The waitress was just very Immature about the situation took everything out of context ! I Will definitely go back, but I will definitely Not stay if that’s my server again… That was way too much drama for nothing

As we left my other friend asked her what the situation was why she was being rude, Rather than explaining the situation The waitress huffed puffed said I’m not dealing with this The other girl the waitress was being rude to, didn’t even receive her bill. The waitress gave everybody else their bill except for her, and then tried to accuse her of walking out without paying. But did not give her her bill and the bills were supposed to be combined onto one bill Once the girl got her bill, the waitress made a big loud comment about. Don’t worry I didn’t add a tip.

Just really bad service from her And my friend still would’ve tipped her that’s the sad part… Just overall unprofessional And the manager standing right there, not saying anything but snarky remarks Just a very awful vibe from the staff Those two anyways

The rest of the people were great. The rest of the staff were awesome. Unfortunately, those two really...
