edited to respond to review reply Your response is a textbook non-appology, I will be following up with corporate, there are multiple reviews complaining about the same dishonest business practices being engaged in by your franchise location as well as a number of other issues not the least of which being public health issues such as drivers sitting on food preparation surfaces in street clothes and making no attempt to sanitize those surfaces after.
Pizza pizza should yank your franchise privileges for the damage you are doing to it's reputation, just a shameful way to operate a business. end of response to owners reply
Twice now this franchise has refused to honour the 40 minutes to your door guarantee. Last night they claimed that they had "attempted" delivery by phoning us and because we didn't answer they voided the guarantee and were expecting us to pay with the driver actually ringing the doorbell 5 minutes late of the guarantee. The guarantee is "at your front door or lobby" nowhere on the email or the website description of the guarantee does it mention a phonecall being part of the guarantee, the website did say pizza pizza can void the guarantee for any reason so I guess it's meaningless if they can deliver late and then just come up with some lame cop-out to void the guarantee. Why even have the guarantee if you don't honour it. It'll be a long time before we order from pizza pizza again. I assure you whatever they thought they'd make by forcing us to pay for late pizza they are loosing in lost sales from us taking a haitus from ordering from this crooked location.
We also didn't take the order so it either went into the garbage or the delivery guy ate it, what a...
Read moreCan I give zero stars? I suppose one star for the food. The service is poor - staff who smoke rarely wash their hands before preparing food (including the owner). On busy nights there are not enough staff to provide prompt service for walk-in customers (because owner will not bring in extra staff). Owner is also very cheap in other areas: constantly refuses to let customers use bathroom (one of which has had repeated seasonal water leaks from ceiling when air conditioning is running) often refuses to buy toilet paper for staff (the staff have to buy it at the Dollarama across the plaza). Constant issues with heat/air conditioning not working which makes working in the spring/summer near pizza ovens inhumane. Many other issues needing repair, including the eye-wash station which has been broken for over a year. Drivers are expected to run errands for the owner, whether it is banking or getting groceries the owner forgot to order from the main depot - this often includes getting cheese from other pizza competitors(!) just to have enough to get through the evening shift's orders. Panzorattis made for sale in front display are scantly filled with toppings. Slices for sale are often left for 4-5 hrs before being thrown out. Portion sizes shrink as prices go up. Staff are paid below minimum wage, including the cooks who rarely get any tips from walk-in sales. All employees paid in cash to make it easier for owner to lie on his income tax. New management taking over May 2023 could actually be worse, as they pay employees as little as 8 dollars an hour. Will have to see if repairs are done to bring store up to basic safety and atmosphere. Eat here at...
Read moreabsolutely horrible service for delivery and management at this location. not only has this happened once but twice as I've ordered for delivery and the guy called, went to the wrong address aka near lansdowne place and state its delivered, hanging up on my husband and i even after we said it's the wrong address.
about another 20 mins goes by making it late so now we call management to explain the issue only to be put on hold 4 times and be asked the same question "did you get it yet?" which we reply with "no." and that he was still on the other southern side. we hang up in frustration and the delivery guy arrives, when I go to confront the driver, they plead not to call the store and honour past the 40 minutes (free.) in which I said that if the online policy is "40 minutes or free" then you guys should honour this, plus it's now luke warm pizza. he gave us a coke that we didn't even order and tried compromising it with that and I just went inside because even after explaining the issue, all he could say was "sorry' and "don't call the store"
if I could give zero stars on this business I absolutely would, but the star is simply for corporate since we were able to contact them over this issue and they are honoring our free meal and expecting a refund in 24 hours EVEN though the store tried to play it off as delivered on time since he marked it delivered at the WRONG address.
if this place can't honour this policy then simply don't have it in...
