We were in Quebec City for four days on vacation and spent a lot of time walking all around the Frontenac promenade area as there are a lot of things to see there. Next to the hotel there is a nice green park, Gouverneurs Park. In the park is a tall, beautiful obelisk honoring GENERALS Wolfe AND MONTCALM. Great views...

Beautiful Park there but should really have a plaque or historical information on a sign of some sort. Such a significant battle should have more information about Wolfe and Montcalm but no info other than words in Latin ( I think) engraved in the stone. Would give it 5 stars if more information about...

We were in Quebec City for four days on vacation and spent a lot of time walking all around the Frontenac promenade area as there are a lot of things to see there. Next to the hotel there is a nice green park, Gouverneurs Park. In the park is a tall, beautiful obelisk honoring GENERALS Wolfe AND MONTCALM. Great views of the river.

Like the guide in Montreal said, if there is an English statue, there is a French one nearby. Here, there is one monument for both generals, James Wolfe and Louis-Joseph Montcalm.
