My 7-year-old son, who loves cars, spotted a small toy car (nothing rare or high-end) and picked it up to look at. Immediately, the lady at the store rushed over, snatched it from his hand, and asked, “Do you want to buy this?” When he replied that he was just looking, she said, “It’s very expensive — $12.95 plus tax,” implying we couldn’t afford it.
