I have done over 10 escape rooms over the last couple years and have seen all types of quality and innovation. I was impressed with a couple of the puzzles (can’t say too much, don’t want to give it away) inside the goblet of Osiris but over all was not pleased to be paying full price for a room that had defective puzzles inside. The entire first part of the escape was ruined due to a prop/puzzle that was broken prior to us even entering the “room”. It ruined a lot of the story to the escape and we should not have been charged full price or should have at least been warned prior to the charge being made.
Further more I found a lack of effort was made to make the experience personal. When you first arrive and the payment is taken, you are turned to a tv and told that the directions and story line have been typed into a PowerPoint and are then played on a screen on the wall. No backround music was even played with the slideshow let alone the host talking about the storyline, nothing to make you feel excited for the experience. You then are led into a room (for the goblet of Osiris escape) which primarily consisted of minimal attractions of focus and painted walls. It relied heavily on one type of puzzle which was monotonous. I understand that escape rooms can be costly to set up, but in every line of business I have ever managed I have learned that it takes money to make money.
The staff I encountered along the way were very responsive and pleasant which is the biggest plus. Hopefully this business will have the chance to grow, and I don’t mean by expanding the number of rooms available, but instead by enhancing the quality...
Read moreI was debating between one & no star. Three of us went on Friday & did Finnigans Forgery. We previously did the Golden Egg & really enjoyed yourself & decided to try another room. As soon as we walked in the employee complained that she had no idea what to do & was completely in the dark as to how the room was suppose to work. She took us into the room & said to forget the keys with the yellow dots, the mechanical arm was broken & mumbled something about the Morse code machine. She said we did get our first clue free & pointed in the direction of the mechanical arm & left. She had to come back into the room to get the key out of the case that had the mechanical arm & then again to open the box that the key opened. She basically had to pry open the case. She came back into the room & told us we solved the case but we didn’t know it because we couldn’t get the blue light out of box with the YELLOW dot!!! One of us put a complaint in on Saturday & the owners response (almost immediately) was he would find out what the exact issue was & tech is get when it works. Heard nothing since!!! Very frustrating and disappointed. DO NOT WASTE YOUR...
Read moreIf I could rate less I would. I've done most of the rooms here but it is really disappointing to pay for a room where 2 locks weren't even locked 1 box didn't even need to be open at all to get to the end which of course we wasted time on but I think the best part was the handful of tacks, nails, and screws that were just all over the floor in the room. I gathered them up for the worker. The room is unsafe as most of it hardly what you'd call finished. It looks dirty and thrown together, and your kids can easily step on nails or put their hands on sharp tacks and staples just in the wall because....just because I guess. From one happy customer to a no longer customer. the least that could have been done was a half compensation of half the price instead of oh gee that must've been the other guy that works here that didn't set the locks or sweep the floor. if....had a compensation been offered for the experience I may have come back but I definitely won't know and I will make sure to use word of mouth of what a poor...
