Canton Restaurant — Restaurant in Quinte West

On a busy Saturday night They do not refill leaving food sitting for hours. Saw customers go up to serve themselves and dishes had maybe five or six ribs, four onion rings, one spoon full of sweet sour chicken one spoon full, meat dishes not refilled when almost empty in the two hours there. The bean sprouts and rice only thing refilled. It seemed they were trying to save money by using up all the old food prior to closing. We arrived at 5pm and most Chinese buffets are always refilling, not this one. The rice was tasteless, the meat dishes did not taste right, our whole group felt sick later. Overheard woman telling and showing waitress that big hair in in her elderly Fathers food, no one came to their table to address and obvious not his, as he was bald. When they were leaving they told us about hair and how they were charged full price. After they brought it up to other staff only 10% was removed. Usually you would see manager speak to customer but no one came. Bathrooms filthy, feces on floor, dirty in restaurant, would never return. Unless you want food poisoning and stale leftover food would never recommend. Only good thing, waitresses polite but seemed embarrassed about conditions...

It used be good when they had the buffet going and then covid hit and they haven't had it up since but then they still had all u can eat but order from a menu of choice at one rate price per person and that was ok. We recently went again to the restaurant and now they changed it again with no more all u can eat just order from the menu they have for takeout which now costs u more to eat there. So we we're dining in and waited almost a hr before our food came and then told us our order was ready and we didn't ask for that but we ended up taking it home instead I'm glad we did because the place was so dark and greasy smelling and the service was terrible and a dish cart in the middle of the floor with broccoli on it and other things not far from our table we we're not impressed. I used to enjoy this place and not now I've been there many of times in the past and would have reviewed this place differently had it been the way it was..."BETTER" there's a good chance now we won't go back because of this awful experience there. We arrived 1:15pm on December 31/18. We were greeted quickly and asked if we would like drinks right away. My wife and I went to the buffet that had a lot to choose from. We filled our plates with several of the dishes and return to our table. This is were it went down hill and quickly. The food was cold, stale, greasy, hard, and I could go on. My wife went to put her fork into the chicken balls it almost shot off her plate! We are not the kind of people that are hard to please or have great expectation for low prices. I actually have never left a bad google report about a restaurant, but after the total no care attitude of this I decided to. They knew the food was not good because they didn't even ask how our food was when we went to pay. We were only in the place maybe 7 minutes before we left our full plates. When I paid the bill I decided to tell them how horrible the food was, and all I got was sorry about...
