Honestly, quite disappointed with the quality of the product. For the amount that I paid, my expectation was significantly higher. Unfortunately, my nails only lasted about 9 days (got them done on Dec 28th). Since I was in the area, I decided to spontaneously get my nails done for the new year. I also had half of my previous set on (from my main nail tech but I had the tips cut off) stuck on so I wanted to get rid of those as well.
The salon itself is gorgeous, very well maintained and sanitized. Pretty calming atmosphere so I was pretty excited since I've been wanting to visit for a long time but I was just never in the area. (I also live 30+ minutes away so I don't really come to Richmond. Maybe once every 3 months only to see my hairstylist.)
The service was phenomenal, the nail tech did a fantastic job. No complaints there.
In terms of price, I was a little surprised. I've gotten long nails with big gems before and to be quite honest - I've never had to pay over $150 for nails. Maybe closest was once around $150 (including tip) but I usually pay around $100-120 for long nails (including tip) and the nails will last me over a month. I take pretty good care of them since I'm paying a decently high price.
So, if I recall correctly, my price breakdown was: $90 - long nails $25 - removal $15- gems $15 - cateye
Which totals to about $145~ but I was told if I leave a 5 star review, I can get a 5% discount, so I did. Which brought my total to around $137ish and then with tip (18%) it brought my total to $163. Which wasn't ideal but if they last me I don't mind the price.
Now, I am no stranger to long nails or big gems as I mentioned earlier. So this Monday, the nail on my index finger randomly snapped off in half and the only reason I noticed was because the nail tip slid into the socket of my portable charger and when I picked it up I was wondering what it was and then realized it was half my nail. So that did suck. There was no indication that my nail was cracked, dented or anything, it just snapped almost perfectly in half. Then I took a closer look at the gem and realized the gem was starting to tarnish quite significantly. As mentioned before, I've had big gems before but never once have I ever had the gem start fading almost immediately so that was new lol. I understand the gems are not the highest quality however it still sucks to see considering I paid $15 for them :')
Lastly, while I was at work, and handing a customer their change, my nail charm just randomly fell off :') I tried to search for it but it fell somewhere deep behind the desk. I work an office job so I'm not doing anything labour intensive with my hands.
Overall, don't think I'll be coming back because I am genuinely never in the area and driving 30 minutes back and forth to get the nails fixed just won't be worth it especially since they're already breaking off. Very disappointed :(
(just to add it was a little embarrassing when I told people I paid a high amount just for it to break off literally 2...
Read moreI really debated whether or not I will write this review, but as I continue with my day it dawned on me that it sucks that I paid for a manicure and experienced these many cuticle cuts.
I specfically chose Lilly Nails Lounge becaues the review photos contain great cutcile and clean finishes. I needed my nails to be more clean than usual because my hands will be used in a photoshoot. However, despite the beautiful photos, I got cut 3 times on 3 different fingers. That's 30% fail attempts. The nail tech did not once say sorry to me. Even when I pulled away she kept going like nothing happened. Maybe it's also my fault that I didn't say something right away.
I still gave the store 3 stars because apart from the cuts, the final finishes of the nail are still amazing. I loved the shape and the color. I believe its a hit or miss when it comes to their nail tech because other customers seem to be very happy with their tech and everyone is really friendly. The lady at the checkout also gave me a discount upon knowing that I got cuts many times. I might got unlucky to have the tech that I booked with (I selected any nail tech when I booked). I didn't grab her name becausse she didn't bother to introduce herself but I caught a glimps that her station is labelled Tiff.
I still would recommend to come get your nails done here but please do your research on which tech you want...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I genuinely would. My experience here was so horrible. First of all the first time I ever walked into the salon a woman yelled at me because I had shoes on. I understand that they don’t let people wear shoes indoors but there was no sign anywhere and there was no one at the desk to let me know either. I was only in there for 5 minutes and all I felt was disrespected and embarrassed. The second time I actually came to get my nails done. I booked with a specific person because every time my sister has gotten nails done from there they were done amazingly. It took almost 3 hours for my nails which were not that extravagant. The price was insane it was around 175 not including tax. The nails looked okay when I first saw them in their lighting but as soon as I stepped out I broke down into tears because they looked like low quality press on nails. I went back inside about 5-10 minutes later because I did not want my nails to look like that for my birthday. The only response I got was so rude. They have horrible customer service. The lady was yelling at me in front of everybody in the salon. Being a teenage girl who just wanted to get her nails done for her birthday, that was genuinely the worst experience I have ever had. They didn’t help at all so I had to go somewhere else to get them fixed the next day and almost $200 were gone...
