It isn't a large museum but it is free and worth a stop, especially if you have a railway interest. Located in the heart of the city of Shediac this historic museum had a well informed tour guide who walked me through the various exhibits. I was told that in the distant past the station accommodated the "Picnic Line Day Train" from Moncton. Brought beach goers up for a day of enjoyment. I experienced enjoyment during my visit and would recommend this Shediac stop if you are in the area.

A perfect short diversion, and it was even open on Sunday. It's a small building but has a nice selection of artifacts from different eras and about different aspects of the rail system I enjoyed reading about the drivers, passengers, and other aspects of the rail system. Definitely worth a visit!

Lovely piece of history! The station guide was excellent!! You can clearly tell he knows his Shediac and Pointe du Chêne train history. The museum is free to visit and has a ramp for wheelchair access.
