My experience here was OK. We were seated quickly (we sat outside). It's a decent location right on main Street so a good spot to watch the hustle and bustle as you dine. Our server was friendly but did not seem organized. He took the drink menu off the table when we sat down and so we asked for it back. We placed our order and got drinks quickly. Asked for a 16oz raddler and he brought a 20oz instead, to be fair he apologized for that and only charge us for the 16oz. The menu options are good, but nothing unique compared to other restaurants in the area, I'd call it "typical" pub food. We got escargot to share for our appetizer, it was good but heavy on the garlic. Our mains took a long time, over 1 hour before we got them. I had the Salmon wellington, the sauce was good but otherwise the dish lacked flavour and was under seasoned. My partner had the chicken linguine, the pasta was al dente, chicken and sauce were good but unimpressive. Portion sizes were great for the price. Our server only checked on us once and we had to ask for our bill after 15 mins of waiting after our meal. Overall I'd say it was an underwhelming experience. A place to fill your belly but not recommended if you're looking for flavour.

No issue getting a table at 7:30 on a Monday, but there were quite a few people there. Cheaper dishes are available, but we decided to get the La Coast Salad with Shrimp and the Lamb Shank Confit. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the salad. The flavour was good, there was a good variety of ingredients, and there were several chunky shrimp on top. The lamb confit was extremely tender but the wine in the sauce slightly overpowered the taste of the lamb (which I was looking forward to). The mashed potatoes were perfectly done and tasty and the veg side was surprisingly good (above average), made up of roasted Brussels sprouts, peppers, and broccoli, and nicely seasoned. I found it a bit loud inside for a place with $30 entrees and as someone else mentioned it was a bit bright for an evening meal. Overall very good though.

We brought our dogs there and sat on the terrace outside. The waiters immediately came to give us menus and even brought a water bowl for the dogs before we could even ask for one and then later brought dog treats for them! They were all really nice, friendly and accommodating. Obviously, it's in front of a big road so the atmosphere is not perfect, but even then, it was surprisingly cozy and nice. The menu was pretty diverse and everything sounded nice. The food took a bit long to get here, but it was worth it. I myself got a lobster poutine and it tasted really good. Overall, I really liked it here. Would absolutely recommend.

Absolutely no service had to walk out. Manager was very rude when we gave poor review on Facebook. He obviously is very ignorant and doesn't understand the service industry.

Had to walk out tonight. Staff were terrible, we sat waiting for service and the staff didn't seem able to multitasking Dan

"How can you rate us with out trying our food ?? Do you even understand what is restaurant business ?"

We walked out for very very poor service. We would have loved to try your food but your staff were not on top of things we don't wait 5 - 10 minutes for service. We were barely acknowledged. Furthermore I do not care for your comment. How dare you comment. That was our experience. We walked out front and walked by the water twice that pointed us to our seats. Still no acknowledgement. Very very disappointed. First impression of new Brunswick is poor! Dan

Geoffrey de Nert come to Calgary and I'll show you service! Your head would spin out there! Dan

"Congratulation for the comment on TripAdvisor I do absolutely don't understand why people have to be that mean but that ok ! I believe in karma"

This is the response given by the so called manager Geoffrey DE Nert

Wow you have a horrible attitude towards your customers or those of us you neglected to serve. You are an extremely rude manager. You don't want bad reviews don't offer bad service. If you want good reviews offer good service. We can not lower our standards any lower! As for karma your getting what you really deserve. . . I'll go update the other...

Service was terrible! Food took over 40 minutes with no one coming out to apologize for the wait or explain what the hold up was. Once the food came, one of the meals was incorrect with no apology, and two meals were missing. After another 10 minutes we had to ask where the two missing meals were and only then did they inform us that the kitchen forgot to make them and had just started them. Once the final two meals came out there was no sincere apology and no one came back to check on us. Long after we were done our meals and had stacked all our plates, we had to go find someone to get us our bills. Everyone was short, unpleasant and didn’t seem to care at all. We explained how disappointed we were with the service, especially with how long the two missing meals took and asked if anything could be done on our bill about it and all we were met with was.. “well you ate it so we have to charge you”. I asked if they could speak with the manager and knowing we were English (I can understand French) they spoke in front of us in French reiterating that we had ate the food and didn’t feel we should get a discount. They said they were busy but there was no one inside and only 7 tables on the patio including us with multiple people working. We understand that mistakes happen but there was no communication or apologies and the way our complaint was handled just confirmed that they don’t care about providing good service. Food was...

This was not our 1st choice since one of our group hadn't been impressed on their 1st visit but that's where we ended up (long story) Anyway, Patio was pretty busy so we sat inside. A friend didn't think it had much atmosphere but I didn't care, I just wanted to eat. We ordered drinks (my bloody Ceasar needed more worcestershire) Meals were lobster rolls, lobster stuffed mushroom caps au gratin and regular poutine. I had the poutine, only because I felt the menu was overpriced but didn't end up paying in the end so I should've gotten the lobster roll at $26 hahaha. I tried one of my friend's mushroom caps. It was ok but I wouldn't order them again. Poutine fries were very dark, maybe they hadn't changed their oil in a while or that's just how they intended on serving them but too dark for my liking (Tasted like original Covered Bridge Chips, which I don't care for). It could've used a few more cheese curds too but gravy was good. Not sure how much is was since it wasn't on the menu and I didn't pay. Hoping it wasn't more than $10 😬 Lobster rolls didn't look very full. Something I never order b/c I figure I'll be disappointed and not get my money's worth... They're meant to be a fancy bar, I would've been happier at the Lobster Deck down the street where you order at the counter and they call your number. Menu is much bigger and more reasonably priced, although prices are up...
