My first initial response to this place is that it would be a positive experience. Unfortunately, it was nothing but. At the beginning of class the owner mentioned to me that she did not recieve my payment. I said okay no problem. The issues I have is she did this in front of another lady. That was kind of embarrassing and figured she probably was not thinking about it so I let it go.Had she took me to the side and explained to me she did not recieve my payment it would have been professional and courteous. The owner Sarah treated me and my dog disrespectfully. My first class she corrected my vocabulary in front of other people. I then explained to her the definition of what I was trying to say so she could understand that the words I was using was correct. During my second class the puppies were playing with each other and things were okay. My dog apparently looked another dog in class and she told my dog Echo that she was being rude and that she should not be looking at other dogs that way. She then told me that "if it was any other place Echo would not be allowed there". I was shocked and was wondering what was going on. She said that Echo was stalking another dog. I asked her how do I address the behaviour. She said that you do nothing and just redirect her. The whole point of me taking these classes is to learn how to address these behaviours. She could be polite and let me know how to deal with these issues. After all thats why I am here. I did not like what she said and I tried to call her back. After trying to work things out with Sarah she had agreed to make things right and scheduled a private classes for the remainder of 4 classes. The following day she got her accountant to call me and ask for my credit card number for a refund. I guess they decided to back out of their aggreement with the private classes and failed to let me know. The prices for the class were set for 210.00 and she took over a hundred dollars for the two classes and kept the 30 dollar tip I provided at the beginning of class despite these issues. Ever since I entered that building I felt that we did not...
Read moreIf you are looking for a doggie daycare, I cannot say enough great things about Canine Addiction. We have been attending this facility since January 2024 and find it amazing for meeting training needs, socialization, and engagement for our large pup. It is very evident how much each staff member cares about the pups. And beyond that, staff at Canine Addiction are knowledgeable when it comes to dog behaviour and training, leaving no doubt the dogs in their care will be managed appropriately and safe while at the facility.
Our dog is ALWAYS excited to go to daycare and leaves with his tail wagging, content with the time he has spent there. He is given opportunities for physical and mental engagement, usually coming home to crash after a busy day! I appreciate the ease for booking sessions and the effort Canine Addiction goes to putting pictures up on their Facebook account so families can check out all the fun things their pups have been up to while at daycare.
I rarely write reviews, but have been so happy with our experience that I hope others will be encouraged to try it out as well. As some days can fill up, just make sure you book your pup in advance. And don't be afraid to join the waitlist. Sometimes it doesn't work out, but on occasion you will be pleasantly surprised they are able to get you in. It actually makes me relieved knowing there is a wait list because it means all dogs are getting the proper care they need according to dog/person ratio.

Read moreMy puppy Wilma (10 months) has been going to Canine Addiction for 6 months twice a week. We wanted her to socialize. The first incident was when she was 8 months - we were told Wilma needed a week away because she was misbehaving. I asked exactly ( in writing ) what was happening they explained she wasn’t aggressive just grumpy and stalking dogs after they indicate they were done playing. They also said they think she was coming into heat ( did not happen) we kept her away for a week. Then this week they asked us not to bring her in again. My husband asked was she being aggressive 3 times they said no when she is tired she won’t leave the dogs alone.we asked maybe an extra nap as Wilma is still a puppy - no that’s against policy. Honestly, the owner needs some customer service training and business training. This conversation was also conducted in front of other dog owners. Wilma is a 60 pound Lab cross that loves to play never is aggressive but gets silly. This came at a very bad time - we had just put our older dog to sleep the day before so we were not in the mood to negotiate ridiculous behaviour from these people. There are a lot of 5 star reviews on here and I would have given one too a few months ago but beware, when they don’t like your dog anymore they will ditch them and you will be back here to review again. On a side note there is a young man who works there he is really pleasant and seems to love dogs. Good luck...
