Poor service and not worth the wait.

I give atleast 1hr and 30mins notice for takeout orders. If i phone call most places they tell me 15mins or 25 if theyre busy

First time i ordered 2 satay chicken sub, which were delicious, and 2 5color vermicillli which was good. Didnt get the promised free ice cream on their website for over $60 and had to wait around 5mins after the promised time which was fine.

2nd time i ordered 2bon bo hue and a combination pho. got there earlier and let them know. 3 people walked in after me and got their takeout orders before me even after the time i wanted for my order.

i had to wait 20mins after the promised time because they clearly gave my order to the delivery driver and a woman that came after me because 1 person waiting is better than two i guess?

All i get is sorry for the wait, this is like the only time i dont feel bad for not tipping a little for takeout orders. The bon bo hue has the perfect amount of spice but not much seafood flavor, you get a good amount of food for the price.

The satay chicken banh mi was delicious, the soups are not...

Banh Mi Zon on Athabascan Ave

Ordered two Vietnamese Subs (Banh Mi) -Zon Special $8 -Satay Chicken $8

Very Similiar to Nhon Hoa which is great news for those who enjoy Vietnamese subs. The bread is basically the exact same as Nhon Hoa.

The Zon Special is basically a combo sub and while delicious I’m not sure it’s worth $8 versus some of the others that have more expensive protein options. Minor suggestion would be to offer this sub for $6 or $7 and up sell the other menu items.

The Satay Chicken sub again is very similiar to what you would get at Nhon Hoa however it was significantly less oily, great flavour but not dripping all over when you eat it.

I do enjoy the spice of hot peppers on these subs but they were a bit mild for my taste, next time I’ll get extra hot peppers.

Glad to have this new option so close to home and relieved that they are using high quality authentic ingredients! Service was very fast and friendly can’t wait to go back.

Value: Good Service:...

I have ate at many Vietnamese restaurants in my day. Banh mi is one of my favs. First time trying this place on Uber eats due to the 4.9 rating and the proximity to my place.

Order: pork spring (Vietnamese) rolls four piece, crab rangoon six piece, zon combination Vietnamese sub. Total without delivery and tip 30$.

Pros: fast, non-greasy, well priced, good customer service, freshness. Rangoons had quite a bit of imitation crab that you could taste. Spring rolls were average but large and fulfilling. Fresh rolls (not sure if made in house)

Cons: too sweet for my liking, too much pickled carrot and not enough options for more veg like cilantro, cucumber + did not include daikon and or an option for jalapeno. Crab rangoons were fresh and had a good amount of imitation crab, but they were still quite small and unsatisfying.

Overall, I would give this place a...

Ken and Jade are salt of the earth ppl. Absolutely love them. Their food is OUTRAGEOUS good!!!! I eat here several times a week! Everything is delicious, fresh, hot and served w a smile. This is a busy hole in the wall. An amazing gem for Sherwood Park. They bake their own banh mi bread on-site! I LOVE the grilled pork banh mi sandwich!!! They will even make it w lettuce instead of bread if prefer low carb. Many GF items! I LOVE their Beef Satay Pho!!!!! I love their Lemongrass tofu veggies w side of coconut rice. Best Bubble Tea jn Sherwood Park. I love mango. All that said, Jade and Ken are just two of the coolest ppl you will ever meet. Super customer service, always want you happy, super hard working, great work ethic, clean restaurant and washrooms and good prices. This place is da bomb. Dine in or take out.
