Better be there early upon opening while the sand has just plowed, underwater has rested and water is still clear. Wish there was a pathway for easy pulling of our loaded wagon out of the sand. Definitely we will come back next summer. I don't mind paying $20 for a family of 3 for a clear man made lake water and fine sand. (not a fine real beach sand ✌) Pros: Quick summer getway from Winnipeg, free parking, burger and fries concession available, life guard on duty, clear water.

The water is so cool and refreshing, and blue. The beach is great, good sand, not too rocky, and the centre of the quarry is very deep. Thoroughly enjoyable time. The canteen has snacks available, but it's cash only and adequate would describe the food. I'd definitely hit this beach up again on a hot day. Worth the trip. Came back July 2023 - refreshing, clean water, not a big crowd, wonderful afternoon

Actually went to the splash pad today, not the park. First time there, it was great. The washrooms are way off by the ball diamonds, but plenty of trees around for kids at emergency status! The water guns turn off when they round on the perimeter, which is a nice touch for keeping mom and dad dry(er).

A Refreshing Local Escape at Kinsmen Lake"

Kinsmen Lake in Stonewall, Manitoba is a delightful local gem, offering a man-made swimming hole that brings nature's charm closer to home. Nestled in the serene Quarry Park, it provides a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The entry fees are quite reasonable, making it an accessible spot for everyone.

Despite its many positive aspects, there's room for improvement that prevents me from giving it a full 5-star rating. Addressing these areas could further enhance the overall visitor experience.

In conclusion, Kinsmen Lake offers a great, reasonably priced outdoor experience, right in the heart of Stonewall. Definitely worth a visit, and I look forward to seeing the improvements...

For a man-made lake, it was a great place to spend a hot day that isn't too far outside of Wpg. I has a fairly inexpensive entry fee and you can go in and out of the beach area with a wristband or stamp, if you're a smoker. The sand was nice and it was clean. The water was bloody cold though but it was also like every other body of water in MB lakes. It slopes nicely so you're not going fr shallow to drowning in a split second. Lol. The canteen is average beach fare - hot dogs, burgers, fries, freezies, ice cream... The only annoyance were the crazy amount of wasps and black flies. Those little black flies were biting hard! When we went there on a Wednesday afternoon, it was a graveyard. It was 28⁰ - 30⁰ but there were maybe 25 to 30 ppl on the...

This is a great place to go to the beach without going too far from Winnipeg. The sand is nice, water is refreshing and clean, and there are lifeguards on duty so quite safe for families. My one complaint is that the change rooms do not have anywhere to sit down or to put your clothes down while changing. It was like this last year and we just went last weekend - the change rooms have not been upgraded. Also the men's urinals were out of order so that made for a line up in the men's washroom. Some more attention paid to the washroom/change room facilities would really spruce up this already...
