A Refreshing Local Escape at Kinsmen Lake"
Kinsmen Lake in Stonewall, Manitoba is a delightful local gem, offering a man-made swimming hole that brings nature's charm closer to home. Nestled in the serene Quarry Park, it provides a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The entry fees are quite reasonable, making it an accessible spot for everyone.
Despite its many positive aspects, there's room for improvement that prevents me from giving it a full 5-star rating. Addressing these areas could further enhance the overall visitor experience.
In conclusion, Kinsmen Lake offers a great, reasonably priced outdoor experience, right in the heart of Stonewall. Definitely worth a visit, and I look forward to seeing the improvements...
Read moreFor a man-made lake, it was a great place to spend a hot day that isn't too far outside of Wpg. I has a fairly inexpensive entry fee and you can go in and out of the beach area with a wristband or stamp, if you're a smoker. The sand was nice and it was clean. The water was bloody cold though but it was also like every other body of water in MB lakes. It slopes nicely so you're not going fr shallow to drowning in a split second. Lol. My one complaint is that the change rooms do not have anywhere to sit down or to put your clothes down while changing. It was like this last year and we just went last weekend - the change rooms have not been upgraded. Also the men's urinals were out of order so that made for a line up in the men's washroom. Some more attention paid to the washroom/change room facilities would really spruce up this already...
