What a nice little hidden gem. 20 minutes from unicity area (to help with idea of distance). There is a cost to get in. $6 for kids under 12, and $7 for anyone older. Cash or debit. Fairly clear water, and all sandy beach. There is a food station there, cash only though. Didn't eat so I don't know how the food was. It's a perfect circle of a beach and kid friendly. Lots of room to park an entire family down and just relax minutes away from the city. No floatation devices allowed except for children (aka babies). I only did the beach, I don't know how the rest of the area is. Also, there is a timmies near by for before or after. Cell phone signal wasn't too bad either.

It's a nice little swimming area with clean water, nice well kept sand, changing rooms and a washroom. There is also a store at the beach where you can order pizza, hot dogs, burgers, fries, drinks and chips. There's an adjacent splash pad too for little kids.

The beach is beautiful and affordable. If you are looking for a day out with the family the stonewall part is perfect. After the beach you can tour around the old mine and take in a piece of history. And the town itself is a rapidly growing population.

Used the even center as our wedding venue a few months back. Great experience all around, booking was easy, they set up the tables and took them down, everything was smooth. Prices are great too. Definitely recommend the venue to anyone looking for a nice place for a wedding.

Only reason its not a five star review is the bartenders that they provided were a tad inefficient which is really not a big deal at all, but the one older gentlemen they had doing that definitely didn't want to be there and every single guest noticed. He was cranky, rude, and disrespectful. Not only to the guests but also the bride, groom, and their family... basically anyone that made contact with him. Yet we've dealt with him during the day in the booking process and he was a completely different person. So maybe he had a bad day... but suck it up.

Otherwise a GREAT venue! Make a "No smoking on patio sign" for your event though because they don't have one, and if cranky pants is working that's one way he will ruin your evening. Also the yard is beautiful your pictures will turn...

Let me tell you a bit about this place, it is situated off the beaten path in a palatial area with interesting views. They have put a fully functioning complex with meeting and party facilities. My company managed to serve a 5 course meal in the Sunova hall to a 60+ guest party with relative ease. This was due to the park's thorough planning and assistance. The staff is to be applauded for their phenomenal efforts and work ethic. They were swift to assist and quickly able to collaborate to find a solution to any problem. They had no issue with going above and beyond. It would be a pleasure to hold another...
