Hazelgrove Park — Attraction in Surrey

For a small park, it's got a lot to offer. Let's see: from Starbucks, walk across to the backside of Shoppers, down the path, left at the duck pond, past the school field, left again at the baseball field, past the lawn bowling club & Clayton Community Hall, across the parking lot, back onto the path, past the tennis courts, picnic area and playground, left at the baseball diamond, through the woods, coming out at the newly built Clayton Community Centre, stay on the right edge of this parking lot to rejoin the path, past the community garden and you're at the dog parks. The park is really cool and has a bunch of features. My 2 little boys love playing in the water park. It's a hidden gem for the Clayton community, as it is still relatively new. I hope this park is well taken care of by the community for years to come! My only issue is with people who don't have their dogs on a leash (especially breeds who are known to be more dangerous than others). On our last trip to the park, there were a couple of owners who had their pit bulls running free. This is NOT a dog park! Pretty good park/play ground area. There is several sections: spray park, main playground for little ones, parkour area, 2 tennis courts, 1 basketball court and a full size soccer field. There are 3 bathrooms as well, one of them being for parents with kids. Plenty of green area with some benches and tables. There is some free parking around it as well. It can get busy at times, but there is Hazelgrove Elementary school right next to it with 2 more playgrounds. When we were there couple of times, playground wasn't that clean with trash flyingaround, therefore -1 star. Overall you can definitely find what to do here for an hour or two...
