Spent 10+ years living in South Korea. Visited this restaurant once because I love the food. My experience here didn't hit the mark on taste or price: Paid roughly $80 for their recommended menu items: The LA calbi wasn't great. It tasted like it was dipped in the ocean prior to serving; it was fishy and certainly didn't come across as being marinated long enough (if at all) The Bulgogi was just alright. The Kimbap was the best part but overpriced for one roll (10 pieces) Too many Asian fusion menu items and not enough specialization have created low-quality dishes. We were provided one free side of seaweed (or miso soup?) as an appetizer; I was disappointed there was no kimchi or other sides because it was much too salty. Aside from that, the interior of the restaurant isn't large and inadequate ventillation in dining area - smoky. Staff was limited but kind. I suggest rebranding as Asian fusion (not Korean) and focus on fewer dishes.

I feel frustrated and sad that I spent $64, only to walk out STARVING. The taste, the quantity and the service were tragic. The waitress, with a straight face, told us that the BBQ Combo #1 would be PLENTY for two. There were 6 pork belly slices ($11-14/Kg at Sobey's/Superstore) the size of a strip of gum (as you can see in the picture) and a few pieces of beef bulgogi that wouldn't normally be enough for an adult, let alone two. As an immigrant myself, I implore the management to be a little honest about how they run the restaurant. It's a sham, and the goal should be to make Korean cuisine more accessible to the general public. Great spot and ambience, but we will not be returning to Omma's.

I’m here for work and ordered the spicy pork bone soup — but unfortunately, I was really disappointed. It wasn’t authentic at all, and honestly, I’m not even sure what this was supposed to be. I’ve travelled across Canada and abroad, and tried countless Korean restaurants, but this one truly missed the mark. Given that it’s in a tourist area, I expected something more authentic — something that would showcase real Korean flavours. Instead, it feels like corners were cut to save money. To make things stranger, I wasn’t even given any side dishes with my meal, and to think I requested for extra, nothing was given. Overall, a disappointing experience. I think I would’ve been happy with fast food..

We were a group of four, we ordered different dishes. The food itself is pretty good, the pot for stew is big so you get quite a bit of soup, they are generous on that compared to other Korean restaurants that I’ve been to in a big city like Toronto or Vancouver. However, the rice bowl that they serve is not “packed” to the brim from what I’m used to, rice is too little for my liking unless you order bibimbap. If you’re a big eater, maybe you can order an extra rice. The rice that was served was also from the bottom of the rice cooker with the brown crust. I didn’t particularly like this experience but since it’s such a small city perhaps not a lot of competition and not predominantly asian customers, they didn’t care for the rice to be crusty. Otherwise the food is okay, not bad. Enjoyed it. Parking in the back, not a lot of spots so I can’t imagine if it’s packed, we came when...

Went there after seeing the 4.8 on google maps, and quick conclusion, the restaurant doesn’t deserve a 4.8, the food was pretty bad. Highly doubt the chef know anything about Korean food. A star for the waiter, he was really nice and provided excellent service. The place was also pretty nice, clean and well cared for. But the food did not match the expectations from the google reviews. The bibimbap had a weak taste and a fully cooked egg. The bulgogi is too sweet. In addition, the Korean fried chicken and the pork were not fresh and had a raw and stinky taste. Although the spring rolls were good but they are the size of a finger. Everything we ordered were on the recommendation list and none of them left a good impression. Didn’t expect real Korean food here but this is just bad food. Not to mention the price is too high compared to the quality. A decent place...
