I was at the cineplex on 795 Paramount Dr, Stoney Creek, ON around 12:27pm Nov.17. I went to the counter and wanted to add more money to my current gift card. The attendant asked Laura the Assistant Manager on how to do that. Laura replied back and said that the gift card needs to be emptied in order to add more money. Which i believe to know that is incorrect. So Laura wasn't able to help me, so i thought i go to another of their workers and came across Sukhbir, and i mentioned to him that what i was facing. Sukhbir was surprised on how that i wasn't able to add more money to a gift card. I asked Sukhbir if there is a higher manager i can speak to regarding this matter. He pointed me out to Ryan (manager higher up) i explained to Ryan my situation and he said immediately that it can be done. Ryan and i went to the front counter where Laura was working and Ryan asked on my behalf the same question, Laura repeatedly said that i cannot add more money to a current gift card unless its empty. Ryan said "lets just try" and Laura entered it on the till, and what do you know! it worked!, I said right away, "you all learned something today"..Something simple as adding more money to a gift card should not have taken so much of my time and headache. Laura (so called assistant manager) needs to be retrained and a refresher on customer service.. Thanks to Ryan for at least trying and getting it done. Also thanks to Sukhbir for...
Read moreWe took our kids here to watch the Minecraft movie at Calgary Sunridge. Nice staff up front and at concessions. However, during the movie, there were sound issues where the volume was so low, it was almost inaudible at times. I thought it was just me but then my husband made the same complaint. We looked for staff after we went to the washroom but since we watched the late show, none were around and we figured we can handle it later since we had to get the kids to bed.
I filed a complaint to the Cineplex corporate email and this is where things became super negative. Firstly, I didn't receive a response that week so I had to follow-up. When Stephanie replied, she was rude and condescending - pretty much saying I had 4 minutes to find staff that evening and take care of the issue that night. Not really after our bio break - and honestly did she expect me to walk to different hallways and rooms?!? I asked her to engage a manager and she closed the ticket.
I started another ticket and asked to engage with management. Stephanie again didn't acknowledge my request - "Management has been made aware of the issues at Cineplex Odeon Sunridge Spectrum Cinemas, and that was their response as was previously communicated to you. Unfortunately, we will be unable to compensate for these issues."
I will choose to go to Landmark going forward due to the unprofessionalism and unaccountability...
Read moreThis review is for Cineplex Customer Support over the phone. I want to thank Johanna who helped me recently with a concern over some unused tickets, where I missed my showtime due to illness. Johanna was extremely understanding, kind and prompt at providing a resolution. She is a wonderful employee and should be highly regarded for her kind nature and demeanour. What made her help even more valuable was the fact that I had call Cineplex just minutes before, and got through with a representative named Marco, who was rudely blunt, refused to help me with my issue and made up a fake policy that I never heard of. He then told me to go read Cineplex’s mountain of Terms of Use docs and Privacy Policy, which I did, and found no evidence of what he said being factual. Thankfully upon calling back I was matched with the super helpful Johanna who resolved my issue with ease. Cineplex needs to implement more transparency and unified support amongst their customer service team, or simply terminate...
