For those in the Summerhill station area who need some fun for kids and adults alike, Pricefield Road Playground is a great option. If you're on Young, you'll need to go through the main LCBO entrance to get there. The park faces the nearby apartment complex, so not all of its area gets the sun. However, it's beautiful in all seasons (especially in the fall, for me). The park has a playground for children, with a good selection of toys and a sandpit. Local residents also leave old toys on the grounds for children to play more. The park also features picnic tables, a few park benches, a water fountain, a large green area where you can set up a picnic rug and walk your dogs, and a basketball court. Dogs are allowed on the grounds, as long as they don't stay in the playground area. It's important to remember to pick up after your dog, and if your dog is feisty, keep it muzzled. For visitors with disabilities or reduced mobility, the park has a good street width for walking, allowing the use of walkers, canes, and wheelchairs. There are no steps along the way. For those arriving from within the neighborhood and arriving by car, street parking is available, but please check the parking permit times and pay for parking. Note: The park does not have public restrooms.
