I’m hesitant to give a glowing review of this place because I actually love it so much and don’t want more people to know about it. But that would be selfish. Simply, this course is a hidden gem in the city. No power carts, tucked away into the Don Valley, most of the people that golf here seem to truly love the game and appreciate being able to squeeze in a quick 9 holes. The proshop is close to the front tees and everyone working there seems to be family. The atmosphere really translates to the overall environment. People chat while waiting to Tee off at the first and it is a friendly un-intimidating atmosphere. As for the course, it is charming. And I found the Greens to be in very good condition this year, even chatted with a greenskeeper this past season, who said the improved conditions are likely thanks to a switch in fertilizer they been using. I appreciated that. One thing I really like about this course is that it isn’t too sloped. You can walk it with ease. If I had one gripe, it’s the price at $50. I can’t really complain as it doesn’t stop me from playing, but I’m surprised there isn’t a much cheaper rate for seniors or that you don’t save more if buying a package of 10+ rounds (I think you save $5 a round). Attached is a video I took, late this season in early October. You can see some pretty big Salmon running up the Don Valley river. Enjoy your time here! I always do!

Saturday May 12: enjoyable first day on the links. This is a fun, convenient course right near downtown Toronto. The staff are very friendly and run things well and on-time. The casual vibe makes it a pleasure, whether you bring your own foursome, or are grouped up by the starter. Some of the fairways were wet & muddy but that's typical early in the season. The clubhouse has a "cottage-country" feel great deck – easy to forget you're a few minutes from the corner of Eglington & Don Mills.
