I recently had the pleasure of visiting G Ross Lord Park and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! This park is a true hidden gem for outdoor enthusiasts, and I couldn't be more impressed with the experience.

First and foremost, the park's natural beauty is awe-inspiring. The expansive green spaces, serene ponds, and lush forests create a picturesque setting that immediately transports you away from the hustle and bustle of city life. It's a true oasis of tranquility.

The trail system within the park is incredibly well-maintained, making it an absolute joy to explore. Whether you prefer a leisurely stroll or an invigorating hike, G Ross Lord Park has something for everyone. I particularly enjoyed the variety of trails available, catering to different fitness levels and interests. The signage along the trails is clear and informative, ensuring that you won't lose your way.

One of the highlights of my visit was the wildlife encounters. G Ross Lord Park is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna. It was an absolute delight to spot various bird species, squirrels, and even the occasional deer. Nature lovers will appreciate the opportunity to observe these animals in their natural habitat.

Facilities at the park are top-notch. The picnic areas are well-maintained and provide a perfect spot for a family gathering or a peaceful lunch amidst nature. The washrooms are clean and easily accessible, which is always a plus when spending an entire day outdoors.

Moreover, the park is conveniently located and easily accessible, with ample parking available. I also appreciated the fact that the park offers various amenities such as playgrounds, sports fields, and even a dog park, catering to the needs of different visitors.

Lastly, I must commend the friendly and helpful staff at G Ross Lord Park. They are knowledgeable, approachable, and always willing to provide information or assistance. Their dedication to maintaining the park's beauty and ensuring visitors have a positive experience truly shines through.

In conclusion, I highly recommend G Ross Lord Park to anyone seeking a peaceful and rejuvenating escape from the city. Whether you're an avid hiker, a nature enthusiast, or simply looking for a great place to unwind, this park will not disappoint. The beauty of the surroundings, well-maintained trails, abundant wildlife, and excellent facilities make it a must-visit destination. I can't wait to return and explore more of...

The parking lots have become a busy place (in all our park system, really), at least on these increasingly sunny Spring days were having! Seems the pandemic has caused a big shift in what and where we can hang out at the end of the work day. Thankfully, the patios are opening up again for those of us Cardinal-watchers who like to go (regardless of COVID) but can no longer find a parking spot. It's brought out the newbie photogs with their big old-school cameras and heavy boots who in their enthusiasm to 'get that great shot', go charging towards the birds only to scratch their collective heads, wondering where they went, or why their luck or timing "is off". It was funny at first, but now it's just become an eye-roller 🙄 and a deterrent, if only temporary I'm sure. Good selection of trails and many park components to explore. It's a super wide open space to get your exercise. Soccer fields (even Bocce ball courts!) that are well-maintained, paved paths that run off in all directions for both walkers and cyclists, over hills and dales galore. It won't be long before the yoga groups stretch over, once the lawns take on that ultimate lush green hue. GRL is a good spot to go if you're planning to spend a little time there, to do a lot of walking and commune with nature - so don't forget to bring water for you AND your dog. There are picnic tables spotted about, some with and the occasional grill for those who are looking for the family 'al...

What an 🏜 oasis in the city Toronto, is the awe-inspiring G. Ross Lord Park and Reservoir.❗️There is an abundance of 👭 walking, cycling trails, stabled 🐎 horses for the disabled, as well as, cricket and soccer facilities.

My mom and I used to stroll here for a pleasant chat in our native tongue being Hungarian. Afterwards, we always treated ourselves by attending at the nearby McDonald's for a vanilla cone.

The park commences at Torresdale Avenue and does meander to Steeles Avenue West in the north and Finch Avenue in the south. There is also an entrance from Dufferin Street. There are many footpaths over the West Don River. Quiet, well-placed benches and picnic tables abound. It is a great place to observe both flora and fauna.

One must exercise caution, especially mid-week when there is a scarcity of individuals. Do take a leisurely walk, a jog, or take your infant for fresh air in their perambulator. Families and locals are round and about walking with one another; some do walk their dogs. Watch out for cyclists who are moving with rapidity. Bicycles 🚴🏿 can be rented by the Antibes Drive and Torresdale Avenue entrance.

It is a great local park and is considered a most fortunate treasure. Be sure to take advantage of these grounds whether you drive or it is at one's...
