Updated July 8 2024: We're very disappointed in the decline of quality and taste at Pho Non La, leading us to downgrade our 5-star rating to 2.
The Pho Tai Lan (no. 27) is now unrecognizable and mediocre. The soup base has lost its bold and aromatic flavor. Portions are smaller (much less meat), and the beef is chewy instead of tender. A lot of garlic and pepper have been added in to enhance the taste, but they couldn't save the dish.
We might not return. Given the price, such a drop in quality is unacceptable.
Original review: The food is excellent, mouthwatering and truly special. We love everything and highly recommend everyone to try their Pho.
The Pho Tai Lan (no 27) soup base is bold, aromatic, delicate and at the same time very filling. Not only Pho, their Com Chien Dua Bo - Beef and Vietnamese Pickle Fried Rice (no 68) and Xoi Canh Ga Chien Nuoc Man - Fried Chicken Wings (with Fish Sauce) with Sticky rice (no 94) are also bombs. We were pleasantly surprised with the taste and strongly believe this restaurant will be our number 1 Vietnamese restaurant for a long long time. Although it's a bit pricy, feel free to give this restaurant a try and I assure that you won't be disappointed :)
Updated: We've just tried Pho Ga Chay Bo - Chicken Pho with Chicken Salad on side (No 24) and the flavour is exactly as the one we had in Vietnam. Truly authentic and delightful. A must try.
Their Bun Bo Hue - Special Hue style Beef Vermicelli Soup (No 41) is decent, but the Pho is truly...
Read moreI was there with my mom and grandma and husband..weve dines in couple times before but we noticed some changes in the past couple of months. Food quality and options compared to other Viet restos especially in the area is definitely better however we were very dissappointed and taken back that they only gave us just 1 ridiculously small portioned bag of bean sprouts condiments for a large order of pho especially after we advised over the phone to provide at least 2-3 since they are providing less than half what avg Viet pho restos provide per bag and they don't even provide Lime, chili pepper, and the much mint and the other green herb or anything. Also they are always giving less broth than thy need should be and not filling up the large cup all the way to the top. Always 20%+ less filled. You can't do that when you're charging premium especially. Very very cheap stingy. Also they don't provide a pickup discount like everyone else, which they should at least provide 10%. It's now on the pricy side. Also the mango salad should have much more mango than papaya! Kinda cheating. Not sure if we would return...unless all these changes are taken seriously. The female lady owner behind counter all she does is sit behind the counter..that's not quite how you run a business...all she's concerned about is...

I felt like walking into a restaurant in Vietnam, my excitement boiling over in anticipation of trying their assorted platter with fermented shrimp paste dip, and I can't miss the pho. The huge assortment of proteins includes nem nuong (pork sausage), crispy fried tofu, dill fish cake, and boiled slices of pork. I can't even count the number of flavour combinations you can feast on when you factor in all the fresh veggies, all of which are completed with the signature dip that is a pungent kick of funky, fishy, salty, umami and a touch of sweet acidity to balance it out. I would HIGHLY recommend pairing this with a plate of broken rice, which's also a platter of its own, features egg sausage, crispy shrimp paste, grilled chicken and BBQ pork that pair excellently with the broken rice, but are even better as another protein to wrap in tons of fresh herbs.
Additionally, the pho contains a generous amount of different beef cuts with the soft, comforting hug of the rice noodles, with a slightly sweet, beefy broth that's characteristic of the South.
We got the Bun Dau Mam, Com Tam Dac Biet,...
