**I am editing this review to down to one star after what I just found out. The brides cousin was given a meat meal instead of vegetarian. When he requested the proper meal they took it back and came back with a plate that had a few things on it that looked like leftovers. I have never been so embarrassed. 2 years of planning and paying for this place to be embarrassed and humiliated in front of friends, family of the bride and groom

As nice as this venue is I was disappointed in several aspects. I booked this place 2 years ago for my sons wedding this year. We were shuffled between coordinators several times. The second to last one we got was so rude and abrupt was just absurd. Everything kept changing we had a set contract and then a year later they changed things. The menu had been laid out and when we went to verify this we found they had tried to add another course. When we received the invoice for the final payment they tried to add 2 things that we specifically said we were not interested in that would have added an extra 2000$ to the final total. The day of the wedding rained and we had to move inside for the ceremony where we found on wall of our room just pouring down water. They seemed to have little care about this and it was not ideal. The parking lot had no attendant when it was suppose to and the parking meters were broken but again when told no one seemed to be worried about having it fixed so we had to have the best man use his Green Parking app to make sure the few guests we had got parking so they would not get towed. They had a signature drink that was denied by bartenders to several guests but when the groom went up and ordered 3 he received 3. One of the waiters passing the appetizers during cocktail hour told one of the people who was vegan that that particular appetizer was vegan and not to worry. They said it looked fine but when they ate it realized there was bacon on the top. The food was okay but we had to send several steaks back as they were literally raw inside. All in all while my son and daughter in law were happy I was not. The amount of money that was spent there and the service we received was not worth it. Disappointing to...

We had high expectations for the Gatsby party last night, especially after booking a VIP booth at a steep price. Unfortunately, the event was a disaster from start to finish, with poor organization, lack of hospitality, and a chaotic atmosphere.

The invitation stated an 8 PM start time, so we arrived around 8:15. To our dismay, we were left waiting outside in the cold for 45 minutes because the organizers couldn’t figure out the difference between the general admission and VIP entrances. The lack of direction and organization set a terrible tone for the night.

Once we finally made it inside, the chaos continued. The check-in process was unreasonably slow, and by the time we reached our booth, we had already missed the hors d’oeuvres and any food that was supposedly available from 8 to 9 PM.

Speaking of the booth—despite the premium price tag, its location was far from ideal. We were placed upstairs, away from the main action, with no clear view of the stage or the event. For a VIP experience, this was unacceptable.

The bottle service was just as disappointing. Rather than providing the elevated service one expects, the staff simply dropped off the bottles and left. We had to pour our own drinks, which completely defeated the purpose of paying for bottle service.

To make matters worse, the manager on-site, a woman in a gold dress whose name I don’t recall, was dismissive and unhelpful when we raised our concerns. Her attitude reflected a complete lack of professionalism and only added to our frustration.

The lack of hospitality ultimately made us leave the event before 11 o’clock. The entire experience was mayhem—extremely crowded, poorly managed, and filled with complaints from other guests. It simply wasn’t worth staying, and honestly, refunds should be issued to everyone who attended.

In conclusion, this event was poorly organized, and failed to deliver even a basic level of hospitality. It was an absolute waste of time and money, and we will not be returning to anything organized...

We had our winter wedding at Liberty Grand in the Artifacts Room. We loved the contemporary room from the moment we did our first site visit, and the venue location is easy to get to for our guests traveling from outside of the city. My husband and I are huge food lovers. Since we haven't gone to a wedding at Liberty Grand in a long time and there are not a lot of reviews about (or photos of) catering at the venue, we were worried that the food wasn't going to meet our expectations. We were very pleasantly surprised when we went to our tasting that everything we tried was so delicious that we had a hard time deciding on what to serve. We ended up going with the mushroom truffle foam soup, braised beef short rib, miso ginger glazed cod, potato truffle pave (soooo good), and apple crumble with ice cream. Our guests raved about the food...and the cocktails (and bartenders)! We had both our ceremony and our reception at the venue, and the room flip was executed perfectly during the cocktail reception. My coordinator worked closely with me to ensure the room flow was exactly how I wanted (it was important to me that the bar and the dance floor were right next to each other). The staff, from security guard to manager, were all so hospitable. Extra special mentions to Olga (catering manager) and Jessica (our coordinator) who went out of their way to make sure our wedding went smoothly and that we had everything we needed...we can't thank you enough!! We're so glad we chose such a special Toronto landmark for our special day.

I recently had the delightful opportunity to photograph a wedding at the Liberty Grand in Toronto, and it was an experience I won't soon forget. As a wedding photographer, I've seen quite a few venues, but the Liberty Grand is something special. Here's why: The natural light in Liberty Grand is a photographer's dream. It floods the space, giving your wedding photos a vibrant, lively feel that's so essential in capturing the spirit of your big day. And the interiors? Timelessly elegant, they'll make every shot look like it's been lifted from the pages of a high-end bridal magazine. What really took my breath away, though, was the outdoor space. The blend of urban and natural beauty in the gardens provides an incredible backdrop for those romantic, intimate shots. And in the evening, the lighting transforms the place into a magical, almost ethereal setting. It's like something out of a fairytale. A little tip for brides considering this venue: take advantage of the Liberty Grand's grand staircase for a unique bridal entrance. It's not just a stunning architectural feature but makes for an unforgettable moment both in real life and in your photos. Imagine descending this staircase, your guests turning to gaze, the light catching your dress - it's a photographer's and a bride's dream! Hope this helps! This is a beautiful and elegant venue. It's perfect for a special event or celebration. The food was delicious, fresh, and served in just the right portions. I especially appreciated the late night snack table with ice cream and burgers, which was a fun and thoughtful touch. The staff were very good. They were professional and attentive throughout the event. Our parking was covered by the bride and groom, but otherwise, it is paid parking, so that’s something to be aware of. There were a few downsides worth mentioning. The bar is located outside of the hall, which led to many guests gathering around it and lingering outside rather than enjoying the event inside. Accessibility is another concern. There's only one accessible washroom on the main floor, located outside the hall, while the rest are down a flight of stairs. Another con is that the bridal suite is also located downstairs. It’s a small room with just a closet and isn’t the most comfortable or convenient space for a bride to get ready or relax. Overall, it’s a lovely venue with great food and service, but a few layout and accessibility issues should be considered.
