MOLLY MAID Toronto Central — Attraction in Toronto

This is the WORST CLEANING experience I’ve ever had to pay for. My previous cleaning duo had moved out of the Toronto area, and my family and I were moving to a new home. I figure why get floors or even windows clean, moving is usually a messy ordeal. However, we wanted to have our kitchen and 2.5 bathrooms clean. So having seen the Molly Maid cars around the neighbourhood I figure I give them a shot, so I called and I was quoted $145 per the hour for one and half hour coming in at about $240 with tax.

Now at first I thought that was expensive but I figure this is an actual company that focuses on supreme cleaning service and they’re going to do a great job. Boy was I wrong. After the 90 minutes of a completely empty house one of the maids took me on a short tour of what she did, not in detail mind you, she only showed me the kitchen counter and the half bathroom and things looked quite clean, the counter was clean and smooth as well as the bathroom sink, faucet and toilet. After they left I went up to check the main bathroom and while it was clean on the surface, the medicine cabinet had not been wiped, and after wiping my finger on the tub I realized it was full of dust. Then I checked the basement bathroom and while both toilet and sink were clean the floor was super dirty. I let this slide I considered a minor issue. But the real problem came the following day when we moved and began to utilize the kitchen. The inside of every compartment was dirty, the lighting and extraction fan above the stove was full of grease and dirty, the warmer drawer below had grease and crumbs and the back of the stove itself was disgusting.

For the price I payed I can safely say IT IS NOT WORTH IT. Find a different service. Now some people may say “I wasn’t on top of the maids directing their every move”, and to that I say for $145 per hour I expect a good quality service. I will never use or recommend Molly Maid to anyone again.

EDIT POST REPLY: the idea was to have my unit clean while it was empty you failed to do that, yes a tour was given post cleaning but it wasn’t in detail, when your maid showed me a clean counter I was convinced everything else was in similar shape. Greetings & thank you for providing me the Golden Opportunity to publish my profound gratitude to you for proffering your perfect cleaning protocol to people such as myself! If it were possible to provide a rating of 11 out of 10 to the Molly Maid Team (Anna-Marie & Ana), then I certainly would not hesitate to do so. The quality of their work far surpassed ANY my expectations! Absolutely EVERY nook & cranny of my unit was cleaned to pristine perfection! In fact, I am STILL finding corners of my apartment (where I rarely ever look) that are now SPOTLESS, & quite literally, SPARKLING! My sincere gratitude to Molly Maid for employing such thorough & meticulous cleaners as Anna-Marie & Ana! They left no (proverbial) "stone unturned"! I wish that there were some way for me to suggest something that could have been done better by the Molly Maid Team who came to clean my unit, however, there is NOT. Despite the severe snowstorm we had here in the GTA when Anna-Marie & Ana miraculously appeared to clean my apartment, the climactic conditions did NOT deter them from travelling here & tending to their task. The job they did was INCREDIBLE &, if at all possible, I will surely ask for for them to come & clean my unit once again...

Please people don't waste your money , my mother had just passed away and I was having people over after the funeral, so called Molly maid to clean because I had no time with all that was on my plate at the time and they came in and did a horrible job , they charged me $125.00 an hour which worked out to be $203.00 for a small one bedroom apartment , so I get home after it was supposedly done and my floors where still dirty there was dust everywhere, mirrors were streaky, they didn't wipe down my s/s fridge and stove and I don't even think they touched my washroom, my husband and I were beside ourselves, with all we had to deal with we now had to clean the apartment. So I call Molly maid to say how unhappy I was and they refunded my money to only take out $145.00 for a job not done. I went with Molly maid because I thought they were a reputable company but I was so wrong . Even if they would have just refunded my money I wouldn't have written this review but I can't justify that money when I had to clean for an hour after they were done .
