Re: Molly Maid Donmills My mother has been using this service on and off for years. They are quick and arrive on time, nothing has ever been broken or damaged. They are not always the best with detail cleaning, for example, leaving accumulated soap scum around the base of the bathroom taps. They have always quoted the price as being based on the unit size, not based on the time it will take. This time, I called with a complaint, and they offered no solution, other than to let someone know. A few days later I called back, as I was still unsatisfied and felt for the price, approx. $142 to clean a one-bedroom apartment, the issue should be addressed. The only thing they offered was to return and wash the dishes. How is that helpful days later? Did they expect that the dirty dishes that were missed are still sitting there? The next arguement that the supervisor brought to me was that Mom's place was so extra "dusty and greasy" that the cleaners stayed an extra 10 minutes to do a good job. Wow, a whole ten minutes! Yes, it was very dusty and they did a great job dusting. That does not mean it's okay to leave a pile of dirty dishes in the kitchen, and then deny that you did. Secondly, where did you find "grease" as I know the level of cleanliness that the apartment had a few days before. Maybe there was some food spilled on the stove? But there is never grease on the walls or cabinets, even tho' there is no vent hood. They cleaned on Monday afternoon and expect me to believe that a whole pile of dishes accumulated from then until Tuesday morning when I returned? Even the PSW that cares for my mom was shocked and didn't believe it. When I spoke with the supervisor, she was so unpleasant that I had to tell her I was hanging up. Then she actually thought she should call back, and tell me what an effect a bad revue can have. That was not helpful and felt like harrassment. I have now blocked the number. Yes, obviously I understand that revues have an impact and that's why I make an effort to write good revues for exceptional service as well. BUT if you give sub-par service, then try justify it, I will voice my opinion, online or otherwise, and why would you expect me not to? Based on this experience, and the terribe customer service from the supervisor, I would not recommend the services of the Molly Maid that serves the Donmills area of the city, and neither my mom or I will ever use their services again. Hired Molly Maid to help deep clean house with 50 years of treasures and dust! OK exaggerating a bit about the dust, but it was pretty extreme (but no pets). They swept, dusted, mopped, cleared and straightened and made space livable. . When I first called Molly Maid (my neighbour recommended) Sheila listened to my requests, understood the situation, sent the lovely Erin and Anna for three visits. Transformation. . Cannot thank them enough for sensitivity, smart thinking, hard hard work.and support. Above and beyond service. We will try a light maintenance schedule to stay on top of things. I was so pleased with the help that Shauna and Patricia were able to give me. Previous people had bad-mouthed each other and argued about who would do what. This team really WAS a team. They anticipated jobs, and were total self starters. Despite a lengthy time since a team had been in, they worked hard and finished earlier than expected.
