Dear team, I am writing to share the deep disappointment experienced by myself and my family following our recent visit to your venue in North York.
From the very beginning, we faced significant difficulties in locating the entrance, due to inadequate signage. From the main entrance the place seemed to be under construction and as we were about to leave we met another customer who knew the place. Upon finally entering from a random back door, the situation worsened: the environment appeared dirty, rundown, and poorly maintained.
As we started the experience we were surrounded by a very low-quality sound system and harsh, nonsensical lighting. The fake ceiling was about to fall on our heads in multiple spots and a layer of dust covered every surface.
The puzzles — which should be the core of the experience — turned out to be often defective, preventing the normal flow of the game. Communication with the staff was also challenging, sometimes uncomprehensible and unprofessional.
Most concerning of all, during the game we ended up — without any warning — inside a room that appeared to be part of the experience, but was in fact an electrical cabinet (likely non-compliant with safety regulations), as shown in the attached photo.
All of this resulted in an experience far from what was promised, leaving us feeling frustrated and unwell, culminating in severe headaches.
I trust you will take the seriousness of these concerns into consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Read moreJust wanted to echo a lot of the concerns brought up in the 1 star reviews here. I’ve done Witness and Astrologer here and at the price point compared to other rooms in the area (60 and 45 respectively) it’s wild that the rooms are in the state they are. As others have said, our experience was that the set felt dirty/dusty, props old/rickety, somehow we had access to a sketchy closet full of electrical wiring, and the room (Witness) was unbearably hot. Also when leaving Witness the door frame started to come down on us just by pulling the door handle. It’s been a few months since our visit so hopefully that at least has been fixed.
Puzzle design seemed to be okay, but due to lighting or props not triggering it was hard to know what/when we had done something. Both games involved us wandering not knowing what to do next or being told on the radio where to go, which takes away immersion
Front waiting area needs to be cleaned and cleared up. It was so full of clutter of non-escape room related things and there wasn’t anyone around for a few minutes we thought we were in the wrong store or that the place had just opened rather than having been opened for a year.
So yeah, from the lobby, to the game design, to the props, to the safety, to the price point, there are very few escape places in southern Ontario I’d recommend less than this. I’d hate to have someone come here for their first escape room and think this is what an average...
Read moreThis was easily the worst escape room experience I've had. The entrance was hard to find and looked like it was still under construction. No receptionist greeted us—just some confused glances from people working at desks, making it feel like we’d walked into someone else’s office.
Right before starting, they asked us what language we wanted the game in, default was Chinese. When we chose English, one of the staff members seemed visibly annoyed. We weren’t offered a locker, just a plastic box for our phones and wallets, which didn't feel secure.
Inside the room, it was pitch black and we were told we’d need our phones for light, so we had to step back out and get them. Once inside, nothing happened for a while until some music finally started. A live actor gave us a backstory, but it was quite difficult to understand what she was saying.
The puzzles ranged from insultingly simple to broken. One drawer I opened was just... empty. Most puzzles came with walls of text in three different languages, which just made them harder to read. We were given a walkie-talkie for hints, but the staff kept chiming in unprompted to tell us what to do.
To top it all off, at the end we were given someone else’s plastic box of phones and wallets by mistake. Overall, this felt disorganized, low-effort, and poorly executed. Would...
